G-Power X6 Typhoon RS Ultimate V10
G-Power has unveiled the fastest SUV in the world - the Typhoon RS Ultimate V10. Based on the BMW X6 M, the RS is G-Power's tribute to the outgoing BMW M V10 engine. It was designed for "solvent fans of the famous power unit which unfortunately will no longer be available in the foreseeable future." As you've probably guessed, the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, which produces 555hp (408kW) with 555hp (408kW) and 500 lb-ft (678Nm), is replaced by a 5.0-liter V10 from the current M5 / M6. Instead of simply dropping in a new engine, G-Power increased the displacement to 5.5-liters and added MAHLE forged pistons, a 7-bearing crank shaft, stronger connecting rods, and beefier piston pins. They also installed two ASA T1-316 Superchargers, an Intercooler, and a revised ECU. Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces 900 PS (662 kW / 888 hp) and 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) of torque. With a G-Power six-speed manual sending power to the rear wheels (the six-speed automatic and xDrive all-wheel have been dropped), the crossover accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph). In terms of styling, the RS features an aggressive body kit and 23-inch Silverstone RS wheels with high-performance Michelin tires. Inside, the cabin boasts four individual carbon fiber sports seats, a sports steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, and unique carbon-weave upholstery. Production will be limited to five units and prices start at €675,000 ($873,085). If that sounds a little expensive, G-Power also offers the Typhoon, the Typhoon Black Pearl, and the Typhoon RS.

2010 BMW X6 G-Power Typhoon RS Ultimate V10
With the G-Power X6 Typhoon RS Ultimate V10, G-Power once again presents an automobile that can only be described with superlatives. The standard X6 M with its twin-turbocharged engine is already impressively powered, but the standard engine was enough to create the world's fastest SUV. For this reason the engineers at G-Power decided to fit the X6 M with the breath-taking performance of Formula 1 technology found in the other BMW M cars. The first step the BMW M5 5.0-liter V-10 power unit was transplanted and comprehensively modified. The objective of the engine development at G-Power was to bring out the best of the BMW Formula 1 characteristics hidden in the genes of the V-10. The result is an engine without any equal in the world. Revving high with immediate throttle response and an explosive power output create a sensation of acceleration which otherwise only pure racing engines can achieve. In addition, the G-Power twin Supercharger system (taken from the G-Power M5 Hurricane world-record vehicle) was developed one stage further by increasing the engine size from 5.0 to 5.5 liters. This means more space for the supercharged air from the twin ASA T1-316 compressors which will be cooled to optimum performance temperatures by a double-flow water-cooled Intercooler. The result is a peak performance of 888 hp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 642 lbs.-ft. at 6,800 rpm. This enormous power output is transmitted by a six-speed gearbox built by G-Power to the rear axle. The automatic gearbox fitted as standard, just like the standard BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system, have been sacrificed to the G-Power engineers' objective of creating a pure-bred sports car in SUV clothing. Powered like that it is an easy job for the G-Power X6 Typhoon RS ultimate V-10 to claim the title of the fastest SUV in the world: the sprint to 62 mph takes a mere 4.2 seconds. In less than 13.0 seconds this exceptional SUV is already up to 124 mph. The top speed is over 205 mph. To make it safe as well as capable, distinctively shaped skirts and spoilers, front and rear, trimmed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency provide the necessary downforce. The elegantly curved G-Power wings on the front and the rear make room for the thee-part 23-inch rims wearing 315/25ZR-23 high-performance tires all round. Bringing the G-Power X6 Typhoon RS ultimate V-10 from its top speed back to zero is the job of a high-tech braking system equipped with 16.1-inch carbon-ceramic brake disks and 6-piston calipers. In the vehicle interior, the four ultra-light carbon individual seats complete the weight reduction program. Overall the car is 331 pounds lighter than the standard X6 M. However, such asceticism does not mean that comfort has to be sacrificed. The work lavished on the cockpit is no less than that on body and engine and with hand-finished interior fittings underlining this distinguished position. To this end the entire vehicle interior is fashioned in leather on a carbon structure. Door linings in leather and carbon manufactured in "CSL light-weight" harmonize perfectly with the new central console, equally made of carbon, which stretches up to the front seats and which encloses the high-end entertainment system. A tachometer reading up to 250 mph, as well as the ergonomically shaped G-Power sports steering wheel complete the G-Power X6's interior. The G-Power X6 Typhoon RS Ultimate V-10 can be ordered for 675,000 Euros. The edition is limited to five vehicles worldwide.
