2011 Lancer Evolution GSR crusin' thru Cold Spring in a blizzard
Having more fun with a 2011 Lancer Evolution GSR in blizzard conditions.
This was sometime between 11:00pm and midnight on Dec. 26, 2010 heading down 25A from the Lawrence Hill split, through Cold Spring Village and up past the fish hatchery.
The car only has 300 miles on it, so I had to hold back some... It's a completely stock GSR running Bridgestone Blizzak MZ-03 Run-Flat winter tires.
** I had the defoggers on, so there's a lot of background noise. You can hear the engine when I pass the Mercedes with the disco lights, though.
* Don't mind the dumb chatter - between trying to concentrate and feeling like a 10 year old playing in the snow, I don't know what I'm saying...
2011 Evo X GSR SOLD!
SOLD!!!
This 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR has 12,800 miles and is perfect for someone looking to save money on a used Evo with NO MODIFICATIONS! Completely stock and never raced/beaten. This Evo has been loved, but I can no longer afford to love it and as such, I am looking for a new home for it.
Finding an unmolested Evolution is a very difficult prospect. I should know, I spent the better part of two years trying to find my dream car and eventually settled on buying one new. This way I could know for certain that the car was in great hands from the beginning.
This Evolution X GSR is the perfect choice for the picky buyer. It's never been raced, modified from stock, or hot rodded into the ground. That's why it makes me sad to list this beautiful machine for sale. You see, I've been in love with the Evolution line of rally cars since the Evo 6.5 and it was an absolute dream come true to finally be able to buy a new Evo. But unfortunately, I cannot always control my flow of income and right now it makes more sense to sell the car than keep it.
I ordered this Evo is March 2011 and it was delivered on July 13, 2011 with 3 miles on the odometer. I even got to drive it off the transport truck. I have since witnessed every mile and have taken care of it immensely well, as an Evo should be.
This Evo is unmodified. It has never had so much as an aftermarket panel filter fitted on the intake. The only bolts that have been un-tightened since leaving the factory are the bolts to change the oil and the lug nuts to change the tires.
Speaking of maintenance: The Evo has a break in period of 600 miles when new. During this period, I followed the manual's instructions. No revving over 5k. I changed the oil at 600 miles and again at 3000, changing every 3000 after that. I only used OEM spec. fluids and parts. Mobil 1 5w-30 has only been in this engine.
As far as what comes with the car, it will come with both the stock Advan tires that still have meat on them, as well as the Blizzak LM-60s currently fitted. It has also been professionally tinted to protect the interior from UV damage with 3M 20% film on all side and back windows. In addition to the stock, completely new floormats, I will also include the WeatherTech Digital cut mats. Ralliart floor mats can be added to the asking price for an extra $100.
The vehicle has never been dirty inside, always detailed and professionally waxed with Swissvax Samurai wax. No food or drinks aside from water have seen the inside of this Evo, and as a result it smells brand new!

Mitsubishi Evolution X - Final Drive
On February 1st, 2011 - we braved one of the worst winter storms, pitting a legend of rally, against the forces of nature... Or perhaps we just found it all too tempting to take an Evo X out into the snow.

2011 mitsubishi evolution gsr with turbo xs turbo back exhaust part 2
This is my car after installing turbo XS turbo back Exhaust with a test pipe. I have a before video as well with the stock Exhaust. Overall I'm happy with this set up it has a decent sound and makes real good power. I was just Dyno tuned at Kaizen Tuning with this Exhaust and an HKS drop in filter and a GM 3 port to 314whp and almost 320wtq. Baseline before tune was 248hp so the gains to me are very impressive and this was on a Dyno dynamics Dyno which I was told before the tune was a heartbreaker because it read so low.
