Project 240SX Le Drift Car - Ep. 1 | Getting Started
Basically, this video starts the second day after I bought the car. I bought it as you see in the video with a welded diff, coilovers, mismatched wheels and some other "goodies". The goal is to drift and build the car. If the video seems a bit tedious it's because I wanted to include everything I did to the car so that way people understand how much work actually goes into these cars. Not like those videos that are 10 minutes long and do a whole show car build and make everything seem like a piece of cake and done over night. Project 240SX Le Drift Car - Ep. 2 | Front End Work
So this is Episode 2 of Le Drift Car build. This is where we focused on the front end of the car and replacing any broken or worn out parts. We replaced the crossmember, rack and pinion, tie rod ends, all possible bushings on the front with energy suspension components, and on top of that we also made DIY polyurethane motor mounts. Stay tuned for Episode 3 And remember, I wanted to make this series to focus on how much work is actually involved with building / modifying a car. Project 240SX Le Drift Car - Ep. 8 | Alignment and Compensation
*Apologies for the auto focus* & Please Read the Description So in this episode of Le Drift Car, I do an alignment on the car and when doing the alignment I also have to compensate for the frame damage that the car has. A little more talking and explaining than usual mainly because stuff like this doesn't consist of too many tasks but more explanation lol. Overall I got the car to a decent alignment and compensated for the frame damage. Not perfect, but I think enough working on the car and more driving! Also I didn't mention this in the video, but this alignment is obviously for drifting hence the -3.5 degrees of camber in the front and -.5 degree of camber in the back. Toe was also adjusted but it's a pretty simple thing and well I didn't want to make the video any longer adding it in. And castor is one of the only things I'm having a hard time measuring because of the inaccuracy of the gauge. But hey, I've gone drifting with this car with eyeballed toe and castor all around and for a newb the setup still worked fine haha so now with measured toe I reckon it'll be even better :P
