My Car Story with Lou Costabile 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 421 Tri-Power engine
On "My Car Story" we're in Huntley IL at the Huntley Fall Fest 2014 Car
Show on 9-27-14.
We're looking at a 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 421 Tri Power engine.
The car's Owner is Jim Schaudek. His Dad bought this car new. His Dad
during the gas crisis in the early 70’s almost traded this car in for
another car; however the car dealer did not offer enough to get Jim’s Dad
to complete the deal so he kept this car. Good thing that deal did not
1962 Pontiac Grand Prix - First year of the Grand Prix!
First year of the Grand Prix, only 30,195 built for '62. Give this car a
thumbs up (and share!) if you think it's as amazing as I do!
This car is 100% restored. Powered by a new 468 with approx 3000 miles,
dual Edlebrock 4 Barrel carbs.700R w/ overdrive transmission, posi-trac
rear end 3.42.
Interior is perfect, which is the factory installed original, not a mark
any where. Also perfect: carpet, headliner, dash, console, glove box,
Wonder bar radio w/ factory rear speaker.
Exterior is also perfect, repainted 5 years ago, as you can see from the
pictures, not a blemish anywhere.

Okay for Devon, this has been a money pit, and well 1st week he had the car
he spent 1500 for paint, 2nd week the engine locked up, after I dropped a
used engine in it, another 1000 later, Okay update, cleared the check engine
light and problems so far solved!, trans shifts normal for the most now!
any damage I blame on Advance auto parts, one for reading the codes to him,
but telling him he couldn't clear any fault codes? I'm like Okay whatever.
I never heard of an OBDII scan tool that couldn't clear the light out. so
he drove it after the fact, anyways my friend Joel brought his scan tool
over, we cleared the codes, and like magic, the trans was back in order for
the most, and well now 2 days later light still out and driving good, so
some good signs
