1963 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX -- 445,000 MILES TRAVELED
This is a one owner Pontiac that has been restored completely. It's hard
to believe looking at this black GP that the owner has driven this over
445,000 miles, and it's documented. Even though the owner had constantly
maintained his Pontiac, it wore out eventually prompting the splendid
restoration. This Grand Prix is one of 30,195 units built this year and is
powered by a V8 389 cid with 303 horsepower. Pontiac
restyled their full size models with the most prominent feature is the
stacked headlights that will be copied by many other cars. The Pontiac
Division saw it's highest model year production to date by producing
589,294 cars. The Grand Prix was the ultimate Pontiac and the models below
are the Bonneville, Star Chief, Catalina, and at the bottom, the Tempest.
Other than the Bonneville Safari wagon ( $3,624 ), the Grand Prix was
priced in second place at $3,490. Because this GP is finished in black
inside and out, it has about it a great attraction. The glossy black paint
reflects light and shadow while the black vinyl interior looks sporty and
plush. A dapple of chrome shines on the dash and tachometer, while that
transparent steering wheel is flawless. I hope you enjoy this incredible,
well driven Grand Prix. Thanks very much for viewing 1963 Pontiac Grand
