134545 / 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/lnragwb A highly exclusive aero car that features an original 440/4-speed powertrain, this Plymouth Superbird wears original sheetmetal under a correct white on black color combination. And if you're shopping for a bad to the bone investment that's fun to look at, a blast to drive and ready to hit the show circuit, it's the classic of your dreams! The slick coupe's high quality, frame-off restoration began with a full array of original, rust-free sheetmetal. Take one look down that slab-sided metal and you'll see straight and clean panels that are finessed far past anything from Lynch Road assembly. Pull those panels into the sunlight and their correct Alpine White two-stage accurately reproduces Chrysler's crisp, planar lines. Step up close to those lines and you'll find even gaps that are devoid of any sloppy patches or second-rate finishing work. And, ultimately, it all boils down to one very impressive pavement pounder that inspires comments and elicits stares every time it hits the road! Hoist the long hood and you'll find an original, 440 cubic inch Super Commando V8 that's authenticated by a 2536430 casting number, a February (2) 28th (28) of 1969 (69) casting date and a matching 179782 partial VIN. At the top of that 375 horsepower monster, a big, 4-barrel carburetor rides within a beefy, Organisol-coated air cleaner. At the base of that carburetor, a correct Chrysler intake hangs between correct heads and traditional, stamped steel valve covers. At the front of those valve covers, a reliable points distributor shoots spark through Chrysler Electronic Suppression wires. And at the sides of that distributor, fully restored Exhaust manifolds funnel spent gases into great sounding, true-dual tail pipes. Behind that mill, an original A833 4-speed, which wears a matching 179782 partial VIN, provides solid, poignant shifts. That tough transmission sends power to a correct Dana 60 rear end, which spins a proven Sure Grip differential around correct, 3.54 gears. At the front of the car, Chrysler's beefy Hemi suspension utilizes an A12 sway bar and standard power steering to make quick work of big bumps and tight curves. At the back of the car, that same Hemi suspension hangs correctly staggered springs at the sides of a leak-free stainless fuel tank. Stops come courtesy of standard power front disc and rear drum brakes. And all this Mopar goodness rolls on prerequisite Rallye wheels, which twist 255/60R15 Cooper Cobra radials around subdued center caps and bright stainless rings. Inside this famous Plymouth, a factory-correct interior is clean, well-optioned and surprisingly stylish. Seating, an ultra-rare all-bench set up, displays no significant signs of wear. In front of those benches, a straight, crack-free dash hangs original factory gauges beside a familiar Chrysler Solid State. At the bottom of that dash, well-maintained carpet centers a Hurst Pistol Grip shifter between rubber Road Runner floor mats. And in front of the driver, a monochromatic steering wheel spins a silver horn ring around a cool Road Runner centerpiece. A poster child for the golden era of Detroit, the Plymouth Superbird stands head and shoulders above nearly every classic in terms of looks, exclusivity and performance. Few cars are as popular as they are polarizing, and that simply adds to its cache. With a smooth, numbers-matching powertrain, all-original sheetmetal and enough visual flash to stand out in a mirror factory, this awesome coupe is about as close to the ultimate muscle car as you can get!

Triple Black Attack: 1970 440 6-Pack 'Cuda - /BIG MUSCLE
Each and every muscle car enthusiast has that one experience that has helped define the way in which they view the automobile. For Northern California's John Cross that experience came by way of riding in the back of his cousins 1970 440 6-Pack Plymouth 'Cuda when he was a kid. It was a car that provided him with memories, stories and of course, a goal - that being, to one day own the very car which got his engine running all those years ago. It's now 2012, 42 years after that first faithful ride in the very 'Cuda you're about to see. This time however it resides in John's garage, not his cousins, which can mean only one thing... Sometimes dreams do come true.

133023 / 1969 Plymouth Road Runner
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/76lfcgh Envisioned by its owner as the perfect mix of classic muscle car attitude and first class modern performance, this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is one of the finest Mopar pro-tourers we've ever featured! This Road Runner's complete rotisserie restoration began when Steve Koepke of Classic Ventures in Woodstock, Illinois meticulously stripped its solid original body, welded up a set of high quality quarters and block sanded every one of its facets until he had a smooth, consistent canvas. Once that canvas was fully prepped from top to bottom, a slick coat of Charcoal Gray urethane was expertly applied under bright red, horizontal pin stripes and buffed to the kind of brilliant wet-look shine that can only be achieved with today's advanced paint technology. The result is one super slick Mopar muscle car which wraps brutal performance in killer good looks! Raise the wide, Charcoal hood and you'll find a killer 500 cubic inch monster block which takes this Mopar from 'very appealing' to 'MUST HAVE'. At the top of that engine, a simple chrome breather funnels wind from a re-usable filter element to a giant Demon 850 carburetor that's juiced by fresh stainless fuel lines. At the base of that carburetor, an Indy dual plane intake sends a rich air/fuel mixture into aluminum Indy 440EZ-1 cylinder heads that are equipped with both Crane Cams hydraulic roller lifters and Harland Sharp roller rocker arms. Those heads are bolted to a familiar 440 block that's been bored 0.30 over and equipped with a complete Eagle stroker kit which includes an Eagle steel crank, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, SRP pistons with Speed Pro rings and Clevite bearings. The car's massive 11 to 1 compression is managed by a Competition hydraulic roller camshaft that's hooked to a Cloyes timing chain. And spent gases are efficiently expelled through a slick set of TTI ceramic coated long tube headers. Fire is supplied by an MSD Pro-billet distributor which shoots sparks through high performance Taylor plug wires. And cooling comes courtesy of a heavy duty aluminum radiator which sits in front of two quick spinning electric puller fans. Behind the big bore engine you'll find a slick shifting Centerforce hydraulic clutch that's connected to a Tremec 5-speed transmission and a stalwart Ford nine inch limited slip rear end which is complete with a Strange aluminum center section, Strange axle shafts and new 3.73 gears. Naturally, the car's old-school front torsion bar and rear leaf spring suspension has been exchanged for a more competent independent front, four link rear set up. And that new suspension is augmented with tubular control arms, a thick front sway bar, adjustable QA1 coil over shocks, fresh power rack and pinion steering and a Wilwood brake system which includes 11 inch slotted discs at all four corners. At the center of the car, custom fabricated, and custom welded, subframe connectors ensure the buff engine's ample torque doesn't manifest itself as unfortunate twist. And at the corners of the car, power flows through a sweet set of 18 inch, solid aluminum wheels that are wrapped in aggressive 245/40 front and 285/40 rear BF Goodrich G-Force T/A radials. Open this Plymouth's big, solid doors and sit down inside a cockpit where the timeless good looks of American muscle meld seamlessly with tasteful upgrades and modern conveniences. The custom leather and suede seats, which were supplied by Addison Auto Interiors of Addison, Illinois, are firm and feel much more upscale than traditional Mopar hardware. At the bottom of those seats, fresh Maroon carpet props a chrome Hurst shifter under a faux carbon fiber pistol grip handle. In front of the seats the car's pristine Maroon dash hangs a custom gauge panel, which is complete with stylish Auto Meter American Muscle gauges, beside a remote controlled Kenwood CD player and traditional buttons for the car's heat and air conditioning system. At the sides of the seats, custom Maroon and Black door panels hang pliable armrests between fresh stainless trim, new chrome window cranks and bright chrome door handles. And in front of the driver, a familiar Mopar Tuff Wheel spins around a rebuilt original steering column. Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!
