Old Peterbilt Cold Start
The Phantom starting The Ghost. 1975 Peterbilt 359 NT88 Cummins. 30 degrees
and hasn't been started for a month.
Filmed this Truck while waiting on the Veterans Day Parade to kick off in
Lemoore, California. My guys had to pry me away from this truck because I
was in such a daze over the Beauty of it. It was an awesome truck and was
so glad I got to see it.
The Duel Peterbilt Truck and Plymouth car chase and crash
In November of 2009 we purchased the surviving Peterbilt truck and Tank
Trailer from the 1971 Film "DUEL" The truck was built for the extension of
the film in 1974 and was a stand by truck for Universal to use in the film.
We plan on making some more films of this truck and we also have just
purchased a Plymouth Valiant to go with the truck! Stay Tuned!!
1959 Kenworth 2 stick shifting practice - Part 1
When filmed this was the 3rd time driving my 1959 CC 925 Kenworth truck.
Has a 4 speed main and 3 speed auxilliary transmission and 4.10 gearing.
Engine is an NHCT 270 Cummins. Out for a short drive and to practice
shifting. Gotta learn by doing. By the time it got restored I could get
anywhere I needed to go without a lot of drama. Truck has since gone
through a significant restoration. See more recent videos to see some of
the changes. And yes I know I sucked in this video but like I said - only
the 3rd time I had ever driven it and was out for the specific purpose of
improving, started rough and got a little better but not much. Since then
much better. 2010 video.
1960 Peterbilt Hotrod Truck called Piss'd Off Pete
While I was at SEMA 2009 a captured a video of Piss'd Off Pete's engine
being revved up in front of a huge SEMA crowd just down from the
This is Jay Leno's 1960 chopped Peterbilt with a 852ci two-stroke Detroit

lb-ft torque with a red line of just 2,800 rpm. Built by the Blastolene

Revving The Duel Truck

1955 Peterbilt 350 Cab Over
This beautiful '55 Pete 350 cab over was being shown by Hofstee Farms at
the 2010 Truckin' For Kids Truck Show. Here the fenders are opened showing
how parts of the engine can be accessed from the sides. I don't know if
the cabs on these can tilt forward or not, but it is obvious that the front
area around the grill can be lifted up too. Of the 200 plus trucks at the
show this year, this was easliy in my top 3 favorites. I really love the
shapes of it. I wish it were mine. 10-23-10.
1978 Peterbilt 359 started up after 8 years of sitting
My old Peterbilt had been sitting for 8 years. We thought we had better
fire it up before any more time went by, so we primed the fuel lines with
fuel and rounded up four old car batteries, gave the glow plugs 20 seconds
to warm things up - - - and she fired right up - - this is Part 1 - - first
firing after 8 years. It is a Cat 3406-A engine

Driving the 1949 peterbilt down the road
We just pulled this thing after it sat for a good while and just drove it
to a friends house. Dad was following me and our friend steve and he
clocked us going 42 mph. That's the fastest it will go with mack rear ends
and a direct 5 speed eaton main box. LOL. It has a 280 cummins, 5+4
transmission and mack rear ends.
Duel Truck Model - 1:43 scale
My 2nd model of the truck. This one is far more accurate than my last one.
I started with New Ray's model of a 1948 Peterbilt 380. Modifications to
the truck included removing the running boards, grinding off the 3 center
clearance lights (which are cast onto the cab), removing the 2 horns,
filling in the holes, and putting 1 horn in the center, extending the
stack, and adding the rail bumper, turn signals, license plates (pic's of
the actual ones on the truck in the movie), and swamp cooler.
Once again the grill isn't correct, but unlike the other one i made i have
ideas on how to give it the correct louvered grill.
Again the trailer is scratchbuilt from balsa, posterboard, and thin
plastic. Only the wheels and bogie was used from the other trailer.
