2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS First Drive Review & 0-60 MPH Test
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS is a small turbo-charged pocket rocket that's fun to drive.
But is it faster than the Sonic turbo? That's a question that we answer in
this first drive review as we drive, test and review the new RS version of
the Sonic turbo in San Francisco. Of
course we don't just drive the new Sonic RS, we also put it to the the
TFLcar real world test 0-60 MPH test. So how fast is the new Sonic RS 0-60
MPH? Watch this video to find out.
2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ
General Motors yanked back the sheets on its newest sub-compact from
Chevrolet; the 2012 Sonic. The five-door hatch and four-door sedan models
will be available with either a standard 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine or
an optional turbo'd 1.4-liter mill that
can be ordered up with either a five-speed manual trans or a six-speed
slushbox. At the time of the unveiling, GM was mum on the Sonic's estimated
miles per gallon rating but The General is now ready to talk a little mpg.
The automaker is saying that the 2012 subcompact Sonic will achieve up to
40 mpg highway when it hits the market this fall. Though none of the
numbers have been finalized by the EPA, GM's projected mileage figures seem
highly likely considering that the Sonic packs the same powertrains as the
heftier Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze, which is rated at 24/36 mpg
city/highway, obviously outweighs the Sonic and, therefore, we expect it to
be the less fuel efficient vehicle of the two.
For the sake of comparison, the outgoing Aveo, equipped with a manual
trans, achieved an EPA rating of 25/35 mpg city/highway. The Sonic's 40-mpg
rating would place it on par with the Ford Fiesta and ahead of both the
Honda Fit and the Toyota Yaris
2013 Chevrolet Spark First Drive & Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Chevrolet Spark is one of the smallest
cars you that you can buy in America today. At just 144.7 inches long, it
is 2 inches shorter than a MINI Cooper. It is in fact the smallest four
door car sold in America and it directly competes with cars like the Scion
IQ, the Mazda 2, the Fiat 500 and event the Smart car. Because the Chevy
Spark is actually taller than all of these cars, it feels airy and roomy
inside. In fact four adults will fit into the Spark, but just don't except
any race car performance because the Spark comes with a little 1.2-liter
four-cylinder engine that gets 84 horsepower and produces only
83 pound-feet of torque. Check out this first drive review as Nathan checks
out the Spark.
