With a stiffened suspension, best-in-class 283 horsepower engine, center-mounted tachometer and performance-inspired interior and exterior design, the 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T ups the driving fun factor.

"The Avenger R/T offers performance design cues both inside and out, as well as unique handling characteristics and a sport-tuned suspension. It's a vehicle that is ready to earn its stripes as part of the Dodge performance family of vehicles."
In 2011, Dodge introduced the new Dodge Avenger mid-sized sedan. With more standard features than other vehicles in the segment - an all-new interior, a new powertrain, including one of Ward's "10 Best Engines," the best-in-class 283 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transaxle, a significantly updated suspension that results in exceptional driving dynamics and an updated design - the Dodge Avenger is a vehicle packed with value and a style all its own.
The new for 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T model builds on all the improvements made to the 2011 model giving mid-size sedan customers an unmatched driving experience along with Dodge attitude.
Dodge engineers amplified the driving experience by giving the Dodge Avenger R/T a superlative powertrain and performance-tuned suspension. The 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T is powered by the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transaxle, which has an EPA fuel economy rating of 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
To make it stay true to the Dodge R/T DNA, engineers tuned the Avenger's suspension specifically to the R/T model. They increased roll stiffness by 18 percent, and spring rates by 17 percent in the front and more than 12 percent in the rear. Front strut damping rates are increased 15 percent, rear strut damping rates are increased almost 20 percent and the rear stabilizer bar diameter is 2 mm larger, increased from 19 mm to 21 mm. The suspension changes result in a spirited, performance sedan driving experience. With best-in-class 283 horsepower, and still delivering 29 miles per gallon on the highway, the Dodge Avenger R/T is unmatched in its class.
The Dodge Avenger R/T model exterior has unique exterior design elements, including a unique body-color grille with the Dodge badge, menacing black headlamp background, the "war paint" R/T decal on the front quarter panel and unique 18-in. painted aluminum wheels. The performance elements carry through to the rear of the vehicle with a spoiler and the "R/T" badge.
The interior of the 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T sports distinctive Aunde fabric with Z stripe fabric inserts, red stitching and aggressive leather-trimmed bolsters that hold drivers and passengers firmly in their seats when they put the Avenger to the test. The front seats are heated and sport an "R/T" graphic stitched in red on the front headrests. Drivers will notice a cockpit unlike other Avenger models. It features a unique gauge cluster with a center-mounted tachometer with the "R/T" graphic and SRT-inspired brake and accelerator pedal pads. The steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather with red accent stitching. A Boston Acoustic sound system compliments the standard 276-watt touchscreen entertainment center with a 30-gigabyte hard drive. The excellent sound system and remote start are some of the many standard features on the Dodge Avenger R/T model.
The Dodge Avenger mid-size sedan is a 2011 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick, and provides customers an abundance of standard safety and high-tech features designed to keep drivers connected with their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Standard safety features include advanced multi-stage front passenger air bags, front seat side air bags, electronic stability control with electronic traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, supplemental side curtain air bags and LATCH child seat anchor system.
For 2011, the Dodge Avenger mid-size sedan is available in four different configurations, and features a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. The Avenger Express, Avenger Mainstreet, Avenger Heat and Avenger Lux are available in Dodge dealerships now. Power comes from a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 283 hp (211 kW / 287
PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. It is mated exclusively to a
six-speed automatic transmission, which enables the car to have a fuel

2012 Dodge Avenger Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/dodge/avenger/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Dodge
Avenger is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated mid-sized V-6
sedans on the market. On thing you have to give credit to Dodge for is the
sporty lines they work into every automobile. And the Avenger is no
exception. Up front there is the iconic Dodge grill which is present on all
their vehicles, the lower fascia is aggressive, and the big block
headlights look great. The body lines follow the same sort of high
waistline in the rear quarters as the Charger and Challenger. Base price
for the Avenger is $18,995.
The 2012 Dodge Avenger comes with 2 different engine options. The first is
a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that creates 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft. of
torque. This smaller engine gets 31 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the
highway. The larger, more powerful engine is a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 283
horsepower and 260
lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is excellent at 19 MPG in
the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
On the inside the space is adequate in the rear. Up front Dodge has an
upgraded steering wheel with mounted controls. The Avenger also features
Blue Tooth connectivity, optional touch navigation, and ambient interior
lighting. Dodge has been working hard over the past few years to carve out
a space for itself in the mid-sized car segment which is a tough gig. But
with the powerful and responsive V-6 Pentastar engine you get the best of
both worlds: power and fuel economy.

2011 Audi A3 e-tron Concept
A new Audi concept.
Audi has unveiled an attractive technical study - the Audi A3 e-tron
concept - in Shanghai. The four-seat notchback sedan integrates the full
breadth of the brand's technological expertise - from the enhanced MMI
operating system, to the high-end infotainment system, to the drivetrain.
And with its two powerplants and lithium-ion batteries that store enough
energy to propel the car on electric power alone for up to 54 km (34
miles), the plug-in hybrid also delivers high fuel efficiency.
The Audi A3 e-tron concept is a four-seat notchback sedan. It measures 4.44
meters (14.57 ft) long and 1.84 meters (6.04 ft) wide, but just 1.39 meters
(4.56 ft) high - proportions that underscore its dynamic character.
The design represents the typical Audi language of sporty elegance. The
single-frame grille is integrated into the front end, giving it a
sculptured look. Its frame is made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer
(CFRP), and the transversely mounted, three-dimensional aluminum louvers
create a visual effect that emphasizes the showcar's width. The headlights
merge with the beveled upper corners of the single-frame, forming a
transition that marks the starting point of the prominently accentuated
lines of the engine hood.
The headlights represent a new stage of evolution in LED technology, a
groundbreaking innovation from Audi. They become broader as they extend
outward, and a line underneath makes them seem to float on air. Above the
front spoiler is a full-length air intake, also made of CFRP, framed by a
metal clasp. The spoiler features a splitter that increases the downforce
on the front wheels.
When viewed from the side, too, the Audi A3 e-tron concept is recognizable
at first sight as an Audi - with its harmonious proportions, taut, muscular
surfaces and a low roof dome with fluid lines flowing into a flat,
coupe-like C-pillar. The shoulder area transitions elegantly into the
tailgate. Characteristic of Audi design, the greenhouse accounts for
one-third of the height, while the sheet metal makes up the remaining
Powerfully flared fenders hint at the power of the engine. Two prominently
elaborated lines accentuate the flank: the undercut tornado line beneath
the window edge and the dynamic line above the sills. The exterior mirrors,
made of aluminum and CFRP, are perched atop the window-channel strips. The
door handles with their brushed-aluminum clasps are recessed flush with the
door. When the driver touches them, they power-extend.
The intelligent interplay between surfaces and lines also defines the tail
end of the Audi A3 e-tron concept. The broad, flat tail lights are
sculptured and culminate in a point on the inside, and the tailgate bears
an elegant spoiler edge. The rear apron includes a diffuser insert of CFRP
and metal, which in turn surrounds the two large tailpipes for the Exhaust system.
Designed as a plug-in hybrid, the Audi A3 e-tron concept is propelled by
two power units - a 155-kW (211-hp) 1.4 TFSI four-cylinder engine with turbocharging and gasoline direct injection
and an electric motor with an output of 20 kW (27 hp). The system provides
a combined output of 175 kW (238 hp). Working together, the gasoline engine
and electric motor accelerate the notchback to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 6.8
seconds, then on to 231 km/h (143.54 mph). A regulated oil pump, the
intelligent Audi thermal management system, a start-stop system and an
energy recovery system - technologies from the brand's modular efficiency
platform - all contribute to this high efficiency.
At the heart of the Audi A3 e-tron concept are the lithium-ion batteries
located behind the rear seats. With a charge capacity of 12 kWh, they give
the notchback a range of up to 54 km (34 miles) on electric power alone.
The batteries are charged by the standard energy recovery system when the
car is in motion or directly from a household power socket when it is
parked. This means that in most cases, the car is entirely emission-free in
A compact seven-speed S tronic serves as the transmission for the compact
plug-in hybrid. It comprises two transmission structures, which are
operated by two clutches. Gears are alternately shifted by the two clutches
- at lightning speed, comfortably, and without any perceptible interruption
The driver can operate the seven-speed S tronic in one automatic mode and
one manual mode, using the paddles on the steering wheel to shift gears
manually. Elegant touch control buttons alongside the handrest on the
center tunnel console are used to select drive positions R, N and D. These
are backlit in red when it gets dark. Drive position P is automatically
engaged when the electric parking brake is applied. The launch control
system manages the sprint from a dead stop, furnishing explosive turbo power with minimal tire slip.

This is my folks new 2012 dodge charger. It is red, awd, fully loaded and
just a sweet car. Leave comments so I feel the need to make a part 2.
2013 Chevrolet Malibu (New Pictures)
The new Chevrolet.
The all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu made its global debut at the 2011 Auto
Shanghai, with simultaneous introductions in the United States and China -
two of the nearly 100 countries on six continents where it will be sold.
Chevrolet's first global midsize sedan will provide customers from Shanghai
to New York and Sydney to Sao Paulo with expressive design, advanced
technologies, ride performance and fuel-efficient powertrains.
"The current Malibu has left an award-winning impression and changed the
way people think about Chevrolet. It redefined what an American midsize car
could be," said Rick Scheidt, vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. "This
all-new Chevrolet Malibu delivers on the intangibles of today's Malibu but
gives customers even more: more style, fuel efficiency, content and
features, craftsmanship, and dynamic capabilities rivaling high-end
"The exterior design of the all-new Chevrolet Malibu carries DNA from its
sister vehicles, the Camaro and Corvette, to bring a
sporty sensibility to the family sedan segment," said Bryan Nesbitt,
executive director for GM exterior design and Chevrolet Brand Champion.
A wider stance, broad shoulders and an integrated rear spoiler bring a new
athleticism to Malibu and give it a more aggressive appearance. The new
Chevrolet Malibu has a 4.5-inch (114 mm) shorter wheelbase and 62-inch
(1,574 mm) front and rear tracks that are more than 2 inches (51 mm) wider
than the model it replaces.
Other exterior design cues include Chevrolet's dual-port grille, projector
HID headlamps, larger Chevrolet bow-tie badges front and rear, and new Camaro-inspired LED
dual-element taillamps. The look is complemented by a range of large 17-,
18- and 19-inch wheels.
The new Malibu exterior is anticipated to be SAE-certified as one of the
most aerodynamically efficient cars in the segment, with a coefficient of
drag (Cd) rating near Chevrolet Volt's Cd of .280. Because of Chevrolet
Malibu's new shape and design, engineers were able to remove 60 counts of
wind drag compared to the model it replaces.
Chevrolet Malibu also has electronically controlled and integrated active
aero shutters (select models in North American markets) to improve
aerodynamics and enhance fuel economy without sacrificing the exterior
Chevrolet Malibu's active shutter system automatically closes airflow
through the lower intake opening when air intake is least needed. When
closed, the shutter system enhances aerodynamic performance by redirecting
airflow around the front of the vehicle and down the sides, rather than
through it. Whether the shutter is open or closed depends on engine coolant
temperature and speed - for example, the shutters open when the car is
traveling up a hill, pulling a trailer, or in hot city driving; the
shutters close at highway speeds when less engine cooling is required.
The new Malibu interior was designed to bring an element of sophistication
to everyday driving, featuring an all-new dual cockpit design that creates
an inviting, roomy and comfortable environment.
The increased width of the new Chevrolet Malibu means a more spacious
cabin. Compared to the previous model, it has nearly 4 cubic feet (113 L)
of additional interior volume, along with more shoulder and hip room.
The Chevrolet Malibu interior features metallic, chrome or wood accents
located around the shifter, surrounding the center stack, around the
instrument cluster and on doors and the steering wheel. Soft, ice blue
ambient lighting reflects off of and complements chrome accents and ensures
even, consistent illumination along the instrument panel and in storage
pockets. Ice blue lighting on the center stack dials, exposed ice blue
French contrast stitching, soft-touch and textured surfaces, and strategic
applications of noise-deadening materials add to Malibu's interior
The Chevrolet Malibu also has a number of storage areas, including a radio
face that articulates up and down to reveal a six-inch deep storage area
behind its seven-inch touch-screen radio display - a U.S. first in a
midsize car. Malibu will also offer a full range of the latest infotainment
options, including new color radio systems and an available navigation
Malibu will include Chevrolet's new MyLink infotainment package at launch.
It builds on the safety and security of OnStar and seamlessly integrates
online services like Pandora® internet radio and Stitcher SmartRadio®.
MyLink integrates wireless connectivity through Bluetooth to enable
hands-free use of selected smart phone apps while the device remains safely
MyLink features a high-resolution, full-color touch screen display designed
to manage the number of steps required to complete a task. MyLink also adds
stereo audio streaming and wireless control of smart phones, building on
the Bluetooth hands-free calling capability already offered in most
