Delicious Candy Blue SMD Escalade Bagged on 26's (Update 6) Blacked Out
The weekend is here and i decided to snatch up Chickens Caddy from the paint shop (Autobody Workshop, Sacramento, California) for a few days to get it all put back together again. Since you have seen it last, i added brand new LED Tail Lights, tinted Headlights, and got the door panels and A pillar's back in place. Roy Devore, the man responsible for laying down the Candy, also shot the tail lights for me with a blend of clear with black. It worked out great! After i got the system up and running, i called Mike at Tint 2k in Sacramento to come by and black out the windows. We ended up going with 5% all the way around on the 4 doors (i previously did the rear 3 myself) and 30% on the windshield. He wont drive this too much so its fine. Its fine anyway, its not as dark on the inside as it looks. You can see fine. Anyway, i just thought i would show you guys how this thing is turning out and what it looks like in the California sun. I still have work to do, i am adding Ridetech Titanium Shocks on all 4 corners starting next week. I also have a few nick nacks to handle and it should be ready to finally go home!
Just in case you didnt know what those amps in the back are, they are 2 Rockford Fosgate T15k Amplifiers. There is 8 Fi BTL 18's and all Rockford Fosgate Mids/highs. Windows PC 10.2" Touchscreen and more....basicly the works.
It is sitting on custom one-off, staggered 3 Piece Wheels by AZA ( http://www.azaforged.com ) wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 295/25/26" Tires.
Upoholstery is by Sean Kat, Kat Kustom Interiors Sacramento. I did some of it myself, but the stitching was all Sean Kat.
Brakes by Wilwood: 16" Rotors 6 Piston calpers front , 14.5" 4 Piston Rear....

Candy Blue Escalade Rollin' in the Cali Sun pt.2 - Last Look before Delivery!
Today i finished another phase in this seemingly never ending project,
Chickens Escalade, aka "the hoopty". The system has been complete for a
few years but this time it was in for some candy paint, 26" rims and
numerous other upgrades........which you will see if you watch the last 10
video's before this one. Anyway, i wanted to get one last bit of video
showing how it looks rolling down the road before i tossed it on a flatbed
and brought it up to him. He lives an hour away and i needed a ride home
so thats why i had it towed. Its just easier that way. Anyway thanks to
everyone who has followed the progress video's and even more to those who
have been here since day one and KNOW what it took for me to get it this
way. Want to see how much work was put in? Pack a lunch and click this

Installed: 4 High Output 350+ Amp Alternators "SMD Spec" Mechman - 2001 Chevy Tahoe
as you may or may not know, i have decided to change alternator brands
after many years of using the same manufacturer. The brand i had before
was great, but i put these things through so much torture that the time
came to replace some of them. This time i decided to try out some Mechman
Alternators. Before they were built though, i wanted them painted to match
my Tahoe. Matt at Mechman sent me the empty shells and i took them to my
favorite painter Roy Devore at "Autobody Workshop" and had them shot.
After that was done i sent them back to be put together. These things are
MONSTERS! Click here to see some of that process on video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7BQ6FnCTNQ That link also explains what
they are doing to make them "bulletproof"......if you want to see the
outcome and testing on this alternator, click here:
They have actually been on for a couple of days and so far they are
I think the Mechman website is currently under construction so call or

SMD Towering Towers! 7' -10" Tall! NEO Magnet Attachment (Build Update 9)
i finally got the rest of the NEO magnets in and since i didnt get to show
in the previous video just how strong they are, nor the finished product, i
figured i would do that here. These are detachable in case i need to move
them around easily or transport. At a towering 7' 10" tall, they will be
hard to fit in smaller rooms. As stated in the video, i am still waiting
on my custom 18" passive radiators (google it if ya' dont know what those
are). Soon i will install them and take the towers for a real test drive.
Once i am happy with how they sound i will finish the body work for good
and get them painted. I am thinking smooth, glossy, piano black. Check
back soon for updates!
Extremely LOUD and CLEAN Car Audio - 4 18's 30,000 watts on ROCK - DOWN II
**Tremendous Bass 116**
I recently had a video go "viral" on the internet, and as usual, a lot of
people who didnt know what they were looking at, think that my system only
plays at full throttle and only rap music. Well i am here to tell you that
sometimes, i do actually turn the music down and listen at normal levels.
Its also well known, to those that know me, that i listen to rock, and a
few other types of music as well. My system has 30 speakers in it. 26 of
them are NOT subwoofers. I know it makes a lot of bass, but the mids and
highs EASILY keep up with the lows. The camera mic makes it sound like
everything is distorting but thats not the case in real life. Check out
this demonstration of something different then you are used to seeing from
me. The song is called "learn from this mistake" by one of my favorite

TOWERING TOWERS 7'- 10" Tall! - SMD Extreme Shop System (Build Vid 6)
this is an update to my project that i am working on. It is a bunch of
Crown amps powering a pair of towers. The Towers EACH will have (8) 7"
Ascendant Audio Carbon mids, (4) Morel Tweeters and 1 Ascendant Audio SMD
18" woofer. Also, 2 18" Passive Radiators PER TOWER......thats what the
other 2 holes are for.
today i finally assembled the boxes and even built a pedestal for the
mid/highs portion of the tower to sit on. They will be detachable for
easier moving. I have lots of sanding to do but it wont be long till they
are ready for paint!
Dripping Wet Candy Blue Cadillac Escalade Fresh Out of the Booth
This is an update to the paintjob on Chickens Escalade, the hoopty. It

the trim pieces, doors, hood and hatch (and tons of other little parts)
need to be installed still. Roy Devore, the same guy who shot my Tahoe is
on this one as well. He dropped sealer, 5 coats of Silver base, 8 coats of
Candy Blue, and 3 coats of clear. Subscribe for updates as i will have
more video of this when its all put back together.
Email Roy at roy@AutobodyWorkshop for questions...or if you are local

CLEANER SOUND! 12 15" Woofers in a Jeep - Setting Gains With SMD-DD1 Distortion Detector
Kasey came by with his jeep sitting on 12 15" DC Audio woofers in a wall.
He also has 3 amplifiers running the system. A 4 Channel Rockford Fosgate
Amp on the mids, a Alpine amp on the tweets, and a DC Audio 9k amp on the
Bass. We very quickly set the entire system up and the results were good!
Watch the video, see what he thinks of this product!
AVAILABLE ONLY AT http://www.wcCarAudio.com *** Ever wonder how to set your
amp gains properly? We now have a hassle free solution and anyone can set
them like a pro! The SMD Distortion Detector DD-1 is the answer! This is
not just an alternative to an Oscilloscope. It does not just detect
clipping, it detects DISTORTION. Even a clean, unclipped signal can contain
distortion. This device will sniff it out. Once you have set your gains
with proper "overlap", you will notice your system sounds better then ever
and may even be louder! Remember, the gain setting is NOT a volume knob,
it is there to match the signal input to the head units output so you can
reach maximum clean power as the deck is reaching its own maximum output.
Use tracks ranging from 0db to -15 db (included on the disc) to set your
gain overlaps according to the way you play your system. Detailed
instructions will be included of course and i promise you this is EASY.
EVERY serious installer should have one of these. Search youtube to see
what the first "beta" testers are saying about this product.
They are now on sale at http://www.wcCarAudio.com with an expected ship
date of early August 2011. Visit the site and download the installation
manual today, it is good readin' if you are interested in this product and
want to know more before you buy.
