Delicious Candy Blue SMD Escalade Bagged on 26's (Update 6) Blacked Out

The weekend is here and i decided to snatch up Chickens Caddy from the paint shop (Autobody Workshop, Sacramento, California) for a few days to get it all put back together again. Since you have seen it last, i added brand new LED Tail Lights, tinted Headlights, and got the door panels and A pillar's back in place. Roy Devore, the man responsible for laying down the Candy, also shot the tail lights for me with a blend of clear with black. It worked out great! After i got the system up and running, i called Mike at Tint 2k in Sacramento to come by and black out the windows. We ended up going with 5% all the way around on the 4 doors (i previously did the rear 3 myself) and 30% on the windshield. He wont drive this too much so its fine. Its fine anyway, its not as dark on the inside as it looks. You can see fine. Anyway, i just thought i would show you guys how this thing is turning out and what it looks like in the California sun. I still have work to do, i am adding Ridetech Titanium Shocks on all 4 corners starting next week. I also have a few nick nacks to handle and it should be ready to finally go home! Just in case you didnt know what those amps in the back are, they are 2 Rockford Fosgate T15k Amplifiers. There is 8 Fi BTL 18's and all Rockford Fosgate Mids/highs. Windows PC 10.2" Touchscreen and more....basicly the works. It is sitting on custom one-off, staggered 3 Piece Wheels by AZA ( http://www.azaforged.com ) wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 295/25/26" Tires. Upoholstery is by Sean Kat, Kat Kustom Interiors Sacramento. I did some of it myself, but the stitching was all Sean Kat. Brakes by Wilwood: 16" Rotors 6 Piston calpers front , 14.5" 4 Piston Rear.... Paint of course by Roy Devore Roy@autobodyworkshop.com if you have any questions The song used in the end is by Dee of Hallway productions - he just dropped his mix tape the other day. It is available for download here http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/100198-more-free-music-from-hallway-productions-link-inside/ Hallway productions has been down with SMD from day one so do me a favor and hit up their channel at http://www.Youtube.com/HallwayProductionz and subscribe! Candy Blue Escalade Rollin' in the Cali Sun pt.2 - Last Look before Delivery!
Today i finished another phase in this seemingly never ending project, Chickens Escalade, aka "the hoopty". The system has been complete for a few years but this time it was in for some candy paint, 26" rims and numerous other upgrades........which you will see if you watch the last 10 video's before this one. Anyway, i wanted to get one last bit of video showing how it looks rolling down the road before i tossed it on a flatbed and brought it up to him. He lives an hour away and i needed a ride home so thats why i had it towed. Its just easier that way. Anyway thanks to everyone who has followed the progress video's and even more to those who have been here since day one and KNOW what it took for me to get it this way. Installed: 4 High Output 350+ Amp Alternators "SMD Spec" Mechman - 2001 Chevy Tahoe
as you may or may not know, i have decided to change alternator brands after many years of using the same manufacturer. The brand i had before was great, but i put these things through so much torture that the time came to replace some of them. This time i decided to try out some Mechman Alternators. Before they were built though, i wanted them painted to match my Tahoe. Matt at Mechman sent me the empty shells and i took them to my favorite painter Roy Devore at "Autobody Workshop" and had them shot. After that was done i sent them back to be put together. These things are MONSTERS! Click here to see some of that process on video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7BQ6FnCTNQ That link also explains what they are doing to make them "bulletproof"......if you want to see the outcome and testing on this alternator, click here: http://www.youtube.com/mechmanalternators#p/a/u/2/mDpYvxDjfwU They have actually been on for a couple of days and so far they are AWESOME! I think the Mechman website is currently under construction so call or email him (865) 522-6166 or mlogan@mechman.com for a quote. Also, last but not least, visit my website! are you curious to see just why i need 4 Alternators? click this link http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com and see for yourself. Extremely LOUD and CLEAN Car Audio - 4 18's 30,000 watts on ROCK - DOWN II
**Tremendous Bass 116** I recently had a video go "viral" on the internet, and as usual, a lot of people who didnt know what they were looking at, think that my system only plays at full throttle and only rap music. Well i am here to tell you that sometimes, i do actually turn the music down and listen at normal levels. Its also well known, to those that know me, that i listen to rock, and a few other types of music as well. My system has 30 speakers in it. 26 of them are NOT subwoofers. I know it makes a lot of bass, but the mids and highs EASILY keep up with the lows. The camera mic makes it sound like everything is distorting but thats not the case in real life. Check out this demonstration of something different then you are used to seeing from me. The song is called "learn from this mistake" by one of my favorite bands DOWN. Thanks for watching and if you subscribed, THANKS AGAIN! This current system consists of: 2001 SMD Chevy Tahoe Mac Mini / 10.2" Touchscreen Pioneer P710 Bluetooth Headunit 4 18" Ascendant Audio SMD Subwoofers 10 Rockford Fosgate 6.5" 2 Rockford Fosgate 8" 2 Rockford Fosgate 4" 12 Rockford Fosgate 1" 8 Rockford Fosgate T2500.1 bdCP (Bass) 2 Rockford Fosgate T1000.4 (Midbass/Midrange) 1 Rockford Fosgate T600.2 (Tweeters) 2 Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 Processors 4 350 Amp Mechman Alternators 10 XS Power D3100 Batteries Second Skin Sound Deadened Top to Bottom Viper 5901 Security Ridetech Shockwave Titanium Suspension Wilwood 6 piston 16" Caliper Brakes DJM and Spohn Control Arms "Meadecherry" Paint by Roy Devore ....and more Also, dont forget to check out my website! SMD Towering Towers! 7' -10" Tall! NEO Magnet Attachment (Build Update 9)
i finally got the rest of the NEO magnets in and since i didnt get to show in the previous video just how strong they are, nor the finished product, i figured i would do that here. These are detachable in case i need to move them around easily or transport. At a towering 7' 10" tall, they will be hard to fit in smaller rooms. As stated in the video, i am still waiting on my custom 18" passive radiators (google it if ya' dont know what those are). Soon i will install them and take the towers for a real test drive. Once i am happy with how they sound i will finish the body work for good and get them painted. I am thinking smooth, glossy, piano black. Check back soon for updates!

PREVENT CLIPPING! Set AMP GAINS like a Pro! New SMD "Distortion Detector" - Coming SOON!
Ever wonder how to set your amp gains properly? Do you just turn them up till its loud enough for you and call it done? Do you turn them up all the way...... or do you tell your boys "my amp is ONLY up 1/4 of the way"? If you want to set them properly then the only true way to do it previously, is to us an Oscilloscope or "O-Scope" to detect a clipped signal. Well now you have a cheaper yet very accurate alternative, the SMD Distortion Listener (no official name yet). This was developed for and with SMD by Tony of D'amore Engineering and our other partner and electronic guru Juan. It was developed for those who dont have access to an O-Scope or even if they did, they might not understand how to use one. This is a pretty fool proof way to do it, without the scope. Put it this way, this device might not just force you to turn your gain down, in some cases you might have left some of your power "on the table" and werent taking advantage of it. Use tracks ranging from 0db to -10 db (included on the disc) to set your gain overlaps according to the way you play your system. Detailed instructions will be included of course and i promise you this is EASY. Stay tuned to my channel, there will be updates on availability soon as well as another cool little device i plan on showing.
