Watkins Glen 2010 Group 8 Sunday Race in the rain
Here's a few laps of me in my Datsun 240Z racing Erik Wood's Alfa in the rain at the Glen for the overall Group 8 win on Sunday. I tried hard but I didn't have anything for Erik except a handshake and congratulations at the end! Nice drive and win by Erik. I was happy to get 2nd that day.

SVRA 2011 Watkins Glen All Datsun race start
Video from my Datsun 2000 during the start of the Datsun feature race at the Glenora Vintage Grand Prix Sept. 8-11, 2011. That's Tom Bork blasting past in turn 2 in his historic VIN #8 Datsun 240Z. Also good racing with Peter Bauer's beautiful blue/white/red Datsun 510. I couldn't catch Joe Maloy in his fast red ex-Shafer 2.5 TA 510. The double yellow came out and I was glad as my car was overheating and I needed to back off. Nice to see so many wonderful Datsuns on track. Thanks to the owners and SVRA.
Datsun 240z vs Nissan GTR
This is a homebuilt twin turbo " blow through " system on a 409 cubic inch Chevy small block engine in a 72 Datsun 240 z. The car is Street Legal due to emission excemptions and is used for cruising, car shows, and drag racing. It is a Sleeper since it uses a full Exhaust system and mufflers.

Datsun 240Z at VIR (Virginia International Raceway) 10/11/2009
2 laps of VIR in a 1971 Datsun 240z. Car has 145 HP at the rear wheels currently. My second track event here... HPDE 2 is the class I am running with NASA. Tires are Kumho Victoracers. I drive to and from the track on them. Brakes are 84 300ZX rotors all the way around with Toyota 4X4 front calipers and 240SX rear calipers. Front pads are Hawk Blues. Rear are KVR street compound
SCCA 2011 Barber EP race 1st half
First half of the EP race where Mike Langley (in the Datsun 240Z) and I have a good battle swapping the lead back and forth. Eventually about lap 9 my cool suit stops working and I get heat stroke and have to let Mike go. I finish 2nd But set fastest lap of the race. Watch the 2nd half of the race there is still some good action to come.

MILD CRANE CAM 272/282 .450" LIFT It's a special build with stock 280Z pistons shaved .020" and 280Z rods with a Maxima Diesel Crank. its a 2.9L 2893cc's I've got Nismo headers Bored out 240Z SU carbs with SM fuel needles. .070" shaved ported and polished N42 head comes out to 10.7:1 CR. Modified 280ZX gearbox and an open 4.11 rear gear. Best run has been a 12.804@ 107.26 mph on regular street tires at Rockingham Dragway. The car is stock weight at 2420 lbs with a full tank of gas
