Junkyard Turbo Swap! Chevy-Powered 1971 Datsun 240Z Autocross Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 26
What do you get when you cross a rusted 1971 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 4.3L
V6 and a turbo from a Ford Power Stroke
Diesel? The Rotsun! During Roadkill Episode 25, Freiburger and Finnegan
revived the Rotsun expecting it to dominate in the 9-car autocross showdown
of previous Roadkill project cars. It also needed to beat a 2014 Kia Rio 5,
but failed to do so with the Rotsun shamefully breaking down before
completing a decent lap. So in this episode: revenge. After swapping in the
mismatched turbo and making nearly 400
rear-wheel horsepower, the guys head to
the autocross at the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona
and mingle with fans on their way to a rematch with that dastardly Kia.
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

GAS747 Holden Calais turbo by Tunnel Vision
Paul's Calais runs a personal best time at Heathcote. The Holden is the
quickest VL turbo and Nissan powered car
in Australia on LPG fuel. Boosted by
a Tunnel Vision RB30 and custom LP Gas fuel system, power comes from a
Garrett GT42 turbocharger. This was
Paul's first time out with this new combination so expect the car to run
quicker yet. [ http://www.tunnelv.com.au ]
Falcon ESP turbo - boost on a budget
Andrew's Preston Automatics' Falcon XE ESP proves a simple combination can
work very well. The car still retains the factory Ford 250ci OHV six
(rebuilt by Tunnel Vision) as well as a custom TV LP-Gas fuel system. A
stock XR6 Garrett turbo provides the Boost while power drives through a
Preston C10 trans and skinny 235mm Street Radial tyres.

8-second RB30 VL turbo ~ AIR747
John's Holden Commodore VL turbo back at
the track after two years. John has mini-tubbed the rear end to fit a
bigger tyre. Due to safety requirements, John couldn't complete anymore
passes. The car will be tech inspected and return to the track soon. Power
comes from a highly modified Nissan RB30 3L six cylinder engine.
