2014 Audi R8 V10 | Review | Test Drive | Audi R8 | Continental Audi
For 2014, the R8 V-10 gains a new Plus model. Not to be confused with the
ladies in a Lane Bryant ad, Plus here refers to the extra 25 horsepower that Audi coaxed
from the 5.2-liter V-10. Basically, it's the Lamborghini-grade unit found
in the Gallardo LP560-4. Firmer springs and dampers, inspired by the
rarely-seen-outside-captivity R8 GT, are seriously stiff, bordering on
annoyingly bouncy. We'd much rather live with the standard R8's supple
But the biggest change is the newly available seven-speed dual-clutch
automatic called S tronic. A $7800 option on all R8s, it replaces the
clunky automated-manual transmission known as the R tronic. With the S,
part-throttle upshifts are free of any twitchiness, giving the auto R8 the
manners to live in traffic. For maximum acceleration, the S tronic offers
launch control that holds the engine at 4500 rpm before engaging the
first-gear clutch. The R8's owner's manual suggests finding a clear, empty
road before using launch control, as it might cause unwanted attention.
Good advice. Accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds with the
quarter-mile passing in 11.4 seconds at 126 mph certainly got our
attention. That's two-tenths quicker to 60 and in the quarter than the
525-hp R8 R tronic we previously tested.

Just as the A5 uses the A4 platform, so the A7 will be based on the new A6.
But the next-gen A6, which means a lightweight aluminium platform with
various steel reinforcements.

2013 Audi A7 3.0 BiTurbo TDI (313hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p FULL HD)
The full Autobahn and country road drive with the 2013 Audi A7 3.0 Bi-turbo TDI ("BiTDI") with 313hp and 650Nm of
torque.This time in a A7 Sportback which had the optional S-Line package
and therefore runs on 265 / 35 / R20 wheels. Acceleration is really
impressive while the Exhaust plays a
lovley sound. Compared to the 245hp Diesel (7-speed S-Tronic) in A6 and A7
this car offers the 8-speed automatic which makes the ride more comfortable
than the S-Tronic variants. The built in S-Line Suspension was stable but a
bit to uncomfortable, therefore I would suggest taking the Sport Suspension

Audi is targeting a new vehicle class with the A7 Sportback. This large,

2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51

2014 Audi RS7: Top Speed Bahnstorming in Germany! - Ignition Ep. 80
On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago tests the new Audi RS7 through
over 500 miles of German roads, including top-speed blasts on the
unrestricted Autobahn. With 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of
torque from its twin-turbo 4.0-liter
V-8, the RS7 eclipses even the R8's 5.2-liter V-10 in power delivery. We
find out just how monstrous the resulting acceleration is -- as well as the
top speed -- though the green countryside of southern Germany.
