Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2016 Classic Car Road Tour
https://www.facebook.com/DavidDisiereClassicCarCollection Dozens of the world's rarest classic cars make the 2016 road tour to Carmel for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The 70-mile driving tour for the 66th Concours was reduced due to forest fires in the drought stricken California area. The week long event features cars that have never been seen before by the public. It has been described as the Super Bowl of International Car Collecting. Thousands of avid car fans converge on the Monterrey Peninsula for a week of activities. It's common to see valet parking spaces at hotels lined with Maserati's, McLaren sports cars, Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Rolls Royce Phantoms, Pagani's, and Porsche's. This is car watching at it's best. And auctions feature some of the rarest and most expensive cars in the world. Collectors compete for the prestigious Best in Show award as well as awards in their respective car classes. Follow #Paris2Pebble as David Disiere restores a French 1948 Delahaye 135 M cabriolet Faget-Varnet for the 2016 Concours de'Elegance at Pebble Beach. It was found decaying among 60 rare cars in a French barn owned by the late collector Roger Baillon. The discovery of the fifty-year old Baillon car collection has been described as the "barn find of the century" and the automotive equivalent of Tutankhamun's tomb. This is only the third known of six original models to survive. Disiere bought the Delahaye at an auction staged in February 2016 by the French auction house Artcurial Motorcars. It made its first appearance at the 1948 Paris Motor Show. Our Delahaye is being restored by Stone Barn Automobile Restorations in Vienna, New Jersey. http://www.stonebarnclassiccars.com/ David Disiere is the founder and CEO of QEO Insurance in Dallas, Texas.
