The color combination is highly desirable and suites the sharp body lines of the '67 Cutlass perfectly. Per the firewall tag, it's code P-P Pewter both top and bottom with no vinyl top option. This car gets compliments on its color combination everywhere it goes, it's perfect and will never look out-dated. Inside you'll find a black vinyl interior with bench seat (correct Code 920). The interior is really clean from the carpet all the way up to the headliner and is show worthy. Here at Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan, we sell a ton of great Chevelles, Mustangs and Camaros, but it's always a treat when we find an awesome Oldsmobile like this 1967 Cutlass convertible. Not surprisingly, when most people think of Oldsmobile muscle cars visions of gnarly 442s start dancing through their heads; and as nice as those cars are, they simply can't compare with a well kept, laser straight vehicle like this. If you're looking for an investment grade cruiser, this Oldsmobile is the car you've been waiting for. The body is nice and straight with no bubbles, waves, dents or scratches. The doors open and close as they should, and the panel fit is excellent. The door and trunk lips are clean and solid. The red paint shows excellent gloss and luster and the chrome bumpers are beautiful. Power is the name of the game where the top is concerned, and with the flip of a switch on the dash, it goes up and down with no problems. There are 60,000 original miles on this convertible, and you can tell is has been extremely well taken care of for the last 45 years. Mechanically, this car is completely read to go. The engine is a 330ci, 300hp, V8 that starts up quickly and easily, and runs great. Turn the key and the single throat 2bbl Rochester carb sucks air through the Jetfire chrome air cleaner. You will also notice a newer master cylinder, power Booster, and stock ignition. The satin black paint job on the inner fenders and firewall looks great, and the little details like stickers on the valve covers and core support make this engine bay shine. This motor is clean, it flat out rocks, and it's all day reliable. The bottom of the car is just as beautiful as the engine bay. Let's start at the rear. There is a newer gas tank, a dual aluminized Exhaust system and open rear end. New shocks and springs and nice bushings can also be found out back. The automatic transmission shifts awesome. The floors are solid, and the drum brakes have new wheel cylinders and flexlines. New shocks and solid steering gear can be found up front. There is a lot of shiny bare metal underneath this car, which means she has been well kept and clean. This is one heck of a solid survivor. Sitting at all four corners are Oldsmobile Rallye wheels and Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires (225-70-14's front and rear). Inside the car, you'll find a nice red vinyl interior that is both comfortable and appealing. The bench seats can easily fit five people for a cruise down Main Street. Creature comforts include a tilt wheel, power steering, power brakes and a power top. The dash is in great shape and includes dummy lights for the oil, generator and coolant. The speedometer works, and the mileage reads 60k original miles. On the passenger's side of the dash you'll find a locking glove box. This Cutlass is ready for the local cruise and car show! Documentation for this car includes the original owners manual and protect-o-plate. In summary, this 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible is a phenomenal car that is ready for an effortless cruise to the local car show. 1967 Oldsmobile 442 Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Priced a 442 lately? Auction results show that these under-appreciated cars are finally getting the respect they deserve. They're still not quite competing on equal ground with big block Chevelles, but I don't think the market is done with the Oldsmobiles yet, either. This 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 most certainly will get a ton of admiring glances at the local cruise night. It packs the potent 442 formula: 400 cubic inches, a 4-speed transmission, and dual Exhaust, making it a blast to drive. Painted in a near mirror finish black paint, this car looks awesome in person. Oldsmobiles were for adults, and this is a sophisticated color that doesn't scream "muscle car!" the way Carousel Red on a GTO does. The panel gaps are fantastic all around, and the sheetmetal is smooth and straight, just like it needs to be in order to pull off such a color. There are no patches in the wheel wells, or anywhere else on this car. This is definitely a car that you will be proud to own and show one that will reward a Saturday afternoon washing and waxing it with a Saturday evening of gawks and stares as you go cruising. All the stainless and chrome is in great condition, as are the headlight surrounds and grille. All the 442 badges have been reinstalled, a nice styling touch that makes cars like this special. Under the hood, you'll find the 442 400ci (casting number 390925E), with fresh paint. This motor runs awesome! The engine compartment is has clearly been freshened up recently, and looks great today. The giant 442 air cleaner up top is shiny and beautiful. Up front is a huge radiator. The restoration includes coated headers, HEI distributor, MSD wires, a new alternator, a new gas tank and a recent alignment. There is power steering, and upgraded disc brakes with a fresh power Booster. This car uses a newer Exhaust system and stainless steel mufflers. It runs extremely well, with that distinctive Oldsmobile sound, and will be one of the most bulletproof muscle cars you'll ever own. The engine is partnered with a Richmond 4-speed. The rest of the undercarriage is solid, with no patches and no rust on the frame or floorboards. The rockers are rust free, you can see the spot welds and the fenders are beautiful. The rear lower control arms are reinforced and the sway bars and upper and lower bushings are all in good shape. There are new spindles as well. Power gets to the ground via a GM 12-bolt 3:73 posi rear end. Settle into the black bucket seat interior and you're surrounded by one of the most inviting driving environments available in 1967. The black vinyl buckets have a cool, upscale texture to them that matches the door panels. The Hurst shifter comes up out of the floor instead of a console. There is a column mounted tach along with a trip of aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash. An AM/FM/CD radio with remote sits next to that trio of gauges under the dash. Most of the stuff in here is recent; including the carpets and headliner. All of the interior lights work. The wood steering wheel is beautiful. If you've been watching the market, you know that underrated cars like the 442 and Buick Grand Sports are now coming into their own. Personally, I like them more than their Chevelle cousins; they're every bit as fast, but are more upscale and unique. This one is exactly the kind of car I like best, one you can get in and drive without worries. The mechanicals are solid and it looks spectacular inside and out, perfect for a weekend show or local cruise night. Heck, this is the kind of car I would drive to work every sunny day and not think twice about it, and no matter where you go, it'll get people talking. The pedigree is such that you can buy with confidence knowing that it won't lose value in the coming years, and any money you spend on it between now and then can be considered a smart investment a matching numbers 442 will only go up in value. There have been people having fun with this car for more than 40 years. Now it's your turn. Call us now! 7 days a week 248-974-9513 www.vanguardmotorsales.com

67 Olds 442 Burnout at Lorentz Wedding
This was a video I took of my best friend and his wife after their wedding. I purchased the car in origional condition in 1999 when I was in high school. It then was a Cutlass Supreme with the origional Rocket 330 and 2 speed Jetaway auto trans. I drove it without any mods for about a year then I decided to fit a Olds 455 in it. I built the engine from a Vista Cruiser and put a turbo 400 behind it with a full manual shift. I then completely rebuilt the rear axle and put lower gears in it with the olds cone type posi. I call it a 442 but it was a CS. I ran it down the strip a few times and it got mid 14's. One day testing on the track the float in the carb failed and ran the engin dry at full throttle halfway down the quarter mile. The resulting super lean mixture at 6000 rpm cracked #8 piston. I did not know it was damaged at the time since it was running well so I readjusted the carb a drove it home. On one of my trips from WYOTECH to home I gunned it hard up a hill and the piston let go. It was fun while it lasted. I then removed the engine and took the car to my Chassis Fab class at WYOTECH where I completely removed the body, boxed the frame and control arms and installed an NHRA certified rollcage. I was then deployed to Iraq for a year and then was married-----I never had the time or money to finish my project. I sold it to my best friend for $1000 and he has turned it into more than I could ever afford. There is most likely 10 grand in the engine alone and more mods are being done everyday. Its great to still be able to see the car I fell in love with 10 years ago being enjoyed today by a great friend.
