Rick Bottom Designs was given the keys to a 2011 Ford Taurus SHO and the custom car builder decided it wanted to hear more from the Blue Oval sedan. The 365-horsepower EcoBoost V6 has been bumped up by a Hahn Racecraft Stage 1 upgrade package, meaning this SHO is now putting out 465 hp. Re-christened as the SHOx, further modifications include a performance Exhaust system, cold air intake kit, large Baer brakes hidden behind 22-inch Axiom forged wheels and a custom body kit.
It's not the engine, however, that is making all the noise. We said Rick Bottom Designs wanted to hear more from the car... so the tuner installed a 16,000 Watt stereo system capable of blaring the most intense block-rockin' beats. The car has been modified to a two-plus-two seating arrangement, and we imagine that potential fifth passenger will be glad they now have to walk, since all his or her Taurus SHOx-riding friends are going to be deaf.
2013 Ford Taurus SHO Road Test
Can you drift a 2013 Ford Taurus SHO like Nascar racer Carl Edwards does in
the commercial? I tried and couldn't. This press car didn't have the ESC
button in the center console to disable the stability management system so
try as I might, the car would never get sideways.
I did however find out how great this car is at being a world class sedan.
Around town and in the canyons, this 4400 pound vehicle feels flat out
It's also pretty fast, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds will get your attention and the
immensely capable all wheel drive system, huge brakes and fantastic
suspension will keep it.
I'll go on record for loving the eco-Boost engine platform. The 3.5L Twin turbo V6 is only mildly laggy at the low end but
more than makes up for that once it starts to rev. The practical side is
that you could use all 365 horsepower in this car and
still manage fuel mileage in the mid 20's and then on the highway settle in
at about 30 MPG.
Would I own one, heck yes...as long as it had that ESC button in the center
console to disable the stability management systems so that I could four
wheel drift the tires off the thing.

1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE
• Gordon Tronson
In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.
2011 Jaguar XF Black Pack
The highly successful Jaguar XF sports saloon is now available with a
dramatic new appearance pack for customers who want their Jaguar to make an
even stronger visual impact.
The exclusive new Jaguar XF Black Pack brings an added sense of power and
purpose to the sought-after XF range, and follows closely in the wheel
tracks of a similar option on the XK sports car which has aroused huge
interest since its launch earlier in 2010.
Featuring menacing dark-grey 20-inch Draco alloy wheels with diamond turned
rims, a gloss black grille and gloss black window surrounds, the Jaguar XF
Black Pack is available on XF Diesel S, the 5-litre naturally aspirated
petrol and XFR models, with prices starting at £950.
"The Black Pack gives the XF a highly distinctive, very modern and a
slightly edgy appearance," said Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar
UK. "Since the Black Pack and Speed Pack were launched on the XKR sports
car at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, almost half of XKR coupe buyers have
selected one or both options - double our original estimate - and we expect
the Black Pack will generate just as much excitement amongst XF customers."
To provide added exclusivity and to maximise the visual impact, Jaguar XF
Black Pack vehicles can only be specified with a special colour palette
chosen by Jaguar designers, including Polaris White, Spectrum Blue,
Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Lunar Grey and Liquid Silver, plus Kyanite
Blue and Salsa Red which are colours unique to the XFR.
For an even more dramatic effect, the Black Pack can be combined with the
XF Aerodynamic Pack which was launched on XF Diesel S earlier in 2010. This
pack includes a re-profiled front bumper, striking black mesh inserts for
the grille and lower air intakes and the muscular side sills from the XFR.

2010 Redline Dodge Charger Concept at SEMA
Among Chrysler's homage to the storied past at this year's SEMA Show is
this 2011 Dodge Charger Redline Concept -- the Charger that Mopar
Underground would build if it could. The crimson four-door sits an inch
lower to the ground over 22-inch Super Alloy wheels, all the better to keep
your eyes on the black roof. Other trim pieces include the black spoilers
fore and aft, tinted head- and taillights and a black side scoop to take
you back to the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.
Under the aluminum hood is a 5.7-liter Hemi wearing Mopar headers, as well
as a cold-air intake and Exhaust. Come
shimmy and shake time, things are kept in better check by a Mopar strut
tower brace. A black and red interior fills out the theme, aluminum bezels
and Katzkin leather keeping it swish and prototype paddle shifters keep it

2010 Ford Taurus SHO custom NESHO exhaust
This is my good buddy's SHO with a custom NESHO Exhaust, since taking the video he's done quite
a few other modifications to the car- off the top of my head at the time of
the video he had some led goodies, a decent drop, and a tune, along with
** I recommend listening to this Exhaust clip with a subwoofer paired to your
speaker system as the sound quality is very good but the tune of the Exhaust is so low, normal speakers may
not be able to capture the frequency. **
The Exhaust sounds great in person,
very deep and not overbearing, I believe he's one of the two people in the
world I know who has this setup for the new SHO's.
