http://www.eurocarnews.com - Mercedes Benz - It's not just the engine and
MCT transmission which influence the C63 AMG Coupe's aggressive character
-- the AMG sports suspension and AMG high-performance braking system are
also key here. Compared with the standard suspension, the AMG coupe has a
separate three-link front suspension, a reinforced multi-link independent
rear suspension and a wider track front and rear. The stiffer
elastokinematics, autonomous axle kinematics with more negative camber and
larger anti-roll bars result in greater agility and lateral acceleration.
Specially adjusted spring and damper rates have optimized both the
responsiveness of the suspension as well as road noise and tire vibration.
The New C 63 AMG Coupé: The Missing Evolutionary Link
Take the elegant C-Class Coupé, add power domes to the bonnet, throw in a
6.3 liter V8 with 487 bhp and the automobile evolution is like jumping from
Neanderthal straight to X-Men. The new C 63 AMG is simply THAT special car.

Deutsche Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1a-p4G0N24
We had the chance to drive the all new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG 4MATIC
Coupe (C217)for two days in the surroundings of Pisa and Florence in Italy.
Here is our In Depth Review of the newest Mercedes-Benz S-Class creation,
the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG (V222). We enjoyed our test drive with the
2014 Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe (C217) , we hope you will like our
video review as well. Make sure you don't miss the Start Up and the Exhaust sound.
The new S 63 AMG Coupé is the latest dream car to augment the Mercedes-AMG
model range. Exciting lines underpin this two-door model's design.
Dominance and sensual purity combine to lend the vehicle irresistible
presence and effortlessly superior sportiness. Equally impressive is the
combination of high driving dynamics, ambitious lightweight construction
and groundbreaking efficiency. As the most powerful member of the
BlueDIRECT engine family, the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine is a paragon of poise and assurance.
Boasting an output of 430 kW (585 hp) and 900 Nm of torque, the S 63 AMG
Coupé delivers exceptional performance with remarkably low fuel
consumption. Performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive is available
as an option. And there is a world first in the shape of the curve tilting
function, part of the MAGIC BODY CONTROL suspension system, to further
enhance both driving pleasure and comfort.

As with the transmission, customers also get a choice when it comes to the
AMG sports suspension: the rear-wheel-drive S 63 AMG Coupé is equipped
with MAGIC BODY CONTROL, while the all-wheel-drive version of the two-door
model features the full air-suspension system AIRMATIC with the adaptive
damping system ADS PLUS. Specific front axle kinematics -- including higher
camber, a larger anti-roll bar and a stiffer subframe carrier on the rear
axle -- have been developed exclusively for the S 63 AMG Coupé 4MATIC.
These measures enhance the vehicle's agility when driving dynamically.

The high-performance Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sedan is now more attractive
than ever thanks to restyling for the 2012MY. The C63 AMG sedan is
complemented by numerous enhancements help maximize performance while
significantly reducing fuel consumption. The sedan now features the
award-winning AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with standard
"Controlled Efficiency" mode along with a new power steering pump that
helps reduce the combined fuel consumption by about ten percent (estimated
figured for U.S. models pending). The output of the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine
is unchanged at 451 hp and can be increased to a maximum of 481 hp with the
optional AMG Development Package.
Agility, grip and ride comfort have been enhanced as a result of numerous
measures to optimize the AMG sports suspension. New assistance systems and
a new generation of telematics increase both safety and comfort. The U.S.
market launch for the 2012 C63 AMG Sedan begins in autumn.

especially when equipped with the optional Lighting Package featuring
bi-xenon headlamps. The wide front fenders with the "6.3 AMG" badge and the

AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission from the SL63 AMG
Under the skin, the top C-Class model boasts a wealth of new technology
including the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission - another
advanced feature adopted from the SL63 AMG. This innovative transmission
uses a wet start-up clutch in place of a traditional torque converter to
deliver a much more efficient, agile and direct response. Fuel consumption
and emissions have been reduced thanks to the "Controlled Efficiency" mode
and a new power steering pump.

2015 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Coupe Reviews
It seems like just yesterday we were falling over ourselves at the New York
auto show debut of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC coupe. The
remarkably beautiful and powerful full-size two-door seemed to be Benz's
ultimate answer to the Bentley Continental GT, but, it turns out, for only
a moment. Right on the heels of our first spin behind the wheel of the S63
coupe, an even more awesome and athletic variation of the two-door S-class
is here: the twelve-cylinder S65 AMG coupe. We can't say we are
surprised—after all, the two preceding generations of the big coupe
(previously dubbed the CL-class) each were topped by a wild, V-12–powered
More of the Most
The 2015 S65 AMG coupe is among the most fetching and luxurious vehicles on
the planet, with almost ridiculous levels of equipment. But it's a beast
first and foremost, a menacing and more evil one than its V-8–powered S63
sibling. For starters, like the S65 sedan, the S65 coupe is
rear-wheel-drive only; presumably, the twin-turbocharged V-12 engine's 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of
torque would fry the 577-hp S63’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive components.
Mashing the throttle should not be done carelessly. The all-aluminum,
three-valve-per-cylinder M275 V-12, as before, likely will emit a most
refined but sinister sound.
Sheer numbers don't do the S65 justice, but they are impressive
nonetheless: AMG claims the sprint to 60 mph occurs in just four seconds
flat, and top speed is governed at a sweet 186 mph. Surely, the S65 AMG
coupe could exceed the magic 200-mph barrier, but saner engineers—ones
equipped with electronic limiters—at Daimler prevailed. Buyers who plan
on regularly reaching for the S65’s top speed should plan to pony up for
the optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
