PONTIAC ALLEY with "T.K."/ Buick 455 Stage-1 Regal TCI Shifter Update #8. 7-16-2011
The TCI shifter looks DEVASTATING!!! Tyrone did a perfect install ... considering there were parts MISSING ... apparently Giovanni's shop "mis-placed" them. After the "TCI" became "a-walk-in-the-park-to-me," I decided to raise the "idle" on the Holley750 by 100-rpm. The Stage-1 refused to turn over! The starter was NOT engaging. I immediately "knew" it had to be the orange-thinner-gauge wire I used on the starter ... instead of the THICKER GAUGED RED WIRE I was supposed to use. This video shows that thin/incorrect wire "melted" onto the TA Exhaust header tube. Tomorrow after work ... I am correcting this. I have the correct wire now. The aluminum plate for the TCI shifter column will be purchased next weekend ... and I will then be able to mount the (Park, Reverse, etc) shifter plate securely. NEXT-STOP; BRAND-NEW HOLLEY 850-CFM from Holley.com!!!!!

My Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal's James McClinton mini-starter Re-Wiring! 7-17-2011
The James McClinton mini-starter (PERFECT UNIT) was re-wired with the correct gauge of wire. Also, the positive battery cable was rubbing the TA headers also. This was all corrected by me. The TCI Shifter looks devastating!
