This is a professionally built class winning race car that won the 2004 Porsche Club of America- Golden Gate Region Time Trial CP Class Championship. It is a 1983 Porsche 944 built for tracking and autocrossing and you can see the list of safety, performance and suspension modifications made.
Porsche 944 Turbo on Lime Rock Park Track
Note: I am not the driver in this video nor is this my car. I was just lucky enough to get a ride along during the filming of it which was done by mounting a GoPro 2 to the front bumper.
This is a 1986 Porsche 944 turbo (aka 951) running during a HPDE (high performance driving event) day at Lime Rock Park in Lime Rock, CT. The car is a dual purpose modified street/track car that puts out about 250 HP. These laps were a little bit slower than usual because the driver (Sylvain Lessard) had just put on new tires (TOYO RA1 DOT) and wanted to heat cycle them a few times before running them hard. This is my 83 porsche 944 (non turbo) this is my first 944 I have had a few 924's before I like the 944 better thought its looks and performance are a little better I wish it was a 85.5 model the interior in these older ones are pretty crappy just like the 924 but hey i cant argue at least its a porsche so let me know what you think about it its pretty stock except for the k&n cold air intake on it.
