LS 408 Silverado ... Exhaust and Burnout
Here is my 408 build. Its a 2003 LQ4 block bored .030 over with a 4"
Callies crank. 6.125" Callies rods and Wiseco flat top pistons. 11.4:1
compression. It has stock LS3 heads, manifold, and injectors. Cam is a Pat
G spec'd 231/239 on a 114+2 LSA. This is a true daily driver and sees the
track maybe once or twice a year. The Exhaust is dual 3" from the collectors to a
magnaflow muffler. Single 4" out over the rear end. The truck Dyno'd 434hp and 400ft tq
through a built 4L80e. This is my first LS motor so I didn't know anything
about the tuning process. I had a speed shop tune the thing when I first
got it started. Then it went directly to the Dyno. After my research and the
purchase of HP Tuners, I think it has at least 30hp left in her. But not
bad numbers for stock components through a 4l80e.

aftermarket heads..but with horrible tune. pretty sweet...red line towards
end of video is 1/4 mile from start

Engine makes 520rwhp and 520rwtq with 11lbs of Boost (before the engine outflows it and Boost drops like a rock) from a small
p1sc procharger with Alky injection and no Intercooler. Other mods include djm 4/6
drop on 22" centerlines, detroit locker, caltracs, pacesetter Lt's, 3" true
dual Exhaust w/ race cats and Dynomax bullet mufflers,
smooth bumper, custom grille, roll pan, shaved tailgate, and autometer
guages. Coming soon 4L80E trans and a larger procharger.
My 383 Silverado motor swap
This is my 383 Stroker Silverado. it is a SBC swap from a 4.3L V6. 5spd
manual tranny to a turbo 400. My truck
is running around 425 horsepower and 445ft. lbs of
torque. I will post more videos of it running on the street when we get the
carb and timing tuned right.
Holley 750cfm double pumper carb, Edelbrock Aluminum Victor Jr. intake
manifold, tall aluminum chevy valve covers. MSD ignition system. Trick Flow
Top End Kit (72cc chamber aluminum heads, pushrods, 1.5 rocker arms,
lifters, double roller timing chain, mild flat tappet cam). Speed pro
pistons. Eagle connecting rods and stroker crank. Corvette oil pan.

My buddies 408 truck on the Dyno. There was a small problem
he figured out after words but even with a loose MAP sensor it sounds mean
408 Stroker Silverado
Cold Start in my silverado. 6.0L iron block LQ9 bored over .030, 4" forged
crank, 6.125" forged H-Beam rods, 4.030" forged flat top pistons, 241
casting heads ported & polished 11.5:1 compression, MSD high torque
starter, long tube headers, e-fans, custom tune, Monster Transmission's
4L60E, Eaton 4.10 posi-trac w/ cal-tracs.
