After whipping some Sonics around at the GM Media Drive, we made a beeline for the Las Vegas Convention Center, which was still being prepped for today's SEMA 2011 kick-off. Chevy Sonic X-Country Adventure of Firsts: Beeline for the Four Corners
After leaving the sprawling city limits of Las Vegas, we made a mad dash for the Four Corners Monument, the quadripoint at which the states of Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico meet. En route, we hit such colorful towns as Mesquite, NV, Colorado City, AZ, Fredonia, AZ, and too many others to count.
We spent about eight hours racing the sun in order to get to the Four Corners so we could be the first Chevy Sonic to be in four states at once. And, you know what, we did it! Well, sort of... We arrived at the Four Corners Monument just after dark, but we're still keepin' that one as a first!

Tjin Edition, Unique Fabrication and LR Autobody have also partnered with GM to build a Chevy Sonic for the SEMA Show. Tjin Edition designed this one-of-a-kind sedan, LR Autobody was responsible for the paint work, and Unique Fabrication handled the fabrication of the custom roll cage and the overall build. The Tjin Edition Sonic features tons of carbon fiber goodies by DownForce, Forgestar wheels, Falken Tires, Pedders suspension, Baer brakes, a MagnaFlow Exhaust, Vibrant Performance / Unique Fabrication Intercooler kit, GlowShift gauges, and custom Light WurkZ LED headlights.

Chevy Sonic at the 2012 Rolex 24
Well, this past weekend we took a trip to the 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. After all, 24 Hours of unfettered, non-stop Grand Am racing action sounded just like the diversion we needed. Upon arrival, we carefully selected our set-up spot (not so easy, story for another time), set up camp-- then quickly broke camp-- in search of some serious race-infused entertainment. It was long before lo' and behold, a full-on bow tie bonanza, replete with Sonic at center stage!
