400hp Grand Prix idle
Not all high horsepower 3800s have to be
loud. This 340whp setup runs a stock Exhaust, stock manifolds, an engine that hasn't
been cracked open, gets 28mpg on the expressway and even has luxuries like
navigation and bluetooth. Whether you want loud and ostentatious or quiet
and subdued we can get your 3800 set up.

TD Ben's Twin Engine Grand Prix GTP built by Turbo Dynamics
Currently only running 60% power to test the platform.
Rear engine is stock GTP 3.8 engine, converted with a TD turbo kit. Running low Boost making 450HP for testing.
Front engine is Supercharged stock 3.8 with a bolt on parts to make 350 HP.
Results is spinning all four sticky tires.
Test is done on a dust covered road on cold tires. Amazing that it is that
quick in such conditions. That's the beauty of AWD !
0-60mph in 2.6 seconds GPS
60 foot E.T. 1.53 seconds
According to data this will be a low 10 second car in these conditions. And
remember it's only running 60% power.
At the track it will hook much harder and 60 foot time will be much lower !
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1
2004 Grand Prix GT1. Quick recording taken June 2007 to accompany an advert
to sell the car. This video might be handy if you're interested in buying
one of these 04's used but haven't been behind the wheel yet. Much hoo'rah
is made about the supercharged version, but in this video you can hear what
the standard 3800 w/ dual Exhaust
sounds like behind the wheel, plus the interior, gauges and buttons.
BACKGROUND: I owned this car from 05-07 after my 01 Impala LS was totaled.
Was bought 1 year old with 49K km in Halifax NS for only $12,750 (less than
1/2 price of new -- gotta love gm depreciation). Yes I know these Pontiacs
are a bit cheesy and the interiors a tad Rubbermaid, but for the money it
was a perfect car for the 2 yrs and 35K I drove it. Was used mostly for
long distance highway driving and was comfortable and entertaining even
after 10 hrs. Can pass anything in seconds, and got around 38mpg or 7.5
L/100km. Sold when I moved to Montreal Quebec in 07 for $10,250 so I
figured it was a decent ROI and no repair costs at all.
My 2004 Grand Prix GTP
a video of my gtp racing at the track and a few launches on the street with
some crappy street tires...
