Front Suspension & Chassis Upgrades - '68 Cougar / Mustang
In this video, we show some of the ways you can easily stiffen your car's
chassis and upgrade your front suspension. Using Andrew's '68 Cougar as a
guinea pig, we bolt on, and weld on, some simple parts that will make a big
difference in reducing the torsional flex that these front ends are prone
to, as well as improving the integrity of the shock towers.

The "Last Fast Cat" Cougar runs in the 7s
The "Last Fast Cat" was built by KC Hooks. Body is a 1968 Cougar with a
580" Ford engine, A-Heads, injected on methanol, naturally aspirated, all
mechanical work in-house, powerglide, 4:30 gears. KC has owned the car
since 1968 and has raced virtually every class through the years. Runs
consistent mid to high sevens...old school. Hangs out at Alaska Raceway
Park in Palmer, Alaska.
Heater Core Replacement - '69 Cougar
In this episode, we tackle one of the most dreaded jobs for classic car
owners: replacing the heater core. On a classic Cougar or Mustang with air conditioning, it's a
very involved process. In this case, we use a 1969 Mercury Cougar 428 CJ
convertible as a guinea pig.
Don walks through how to remove the dash pad and lower dash panel, and how
to remove and service the heater box plenum and blower motor assembly.
Along the way, he offers several tips on other jobs you should consider
tackling while you're in the process.
This is a job that we actually recommend you attempt yourself, rather than
taking your car to a shop. Not only will you save money, but you will
probably be a lot more careful than the average mechanic, and will avoid
breaking expensive / irreplaceable parts. The fiberglass heater box itself
is very fragile and valuable, and most of the plastic clips for the wiring
harness are not reproduced.

Wild Wes Paintworks - 1968 Mercury Cougar
Wild Wes got his name from his skills with the paint gun. That quickly
transferred to his fabrication skills and his 1968 Mercury Cougar is no
different. Listen and watch as he walks Summit Racing through his newest
Convertible Top Installation: 1969 - 1970 Cougar / Mustang
In this episode, we tackle the daunting task of installing a convertible
top on a 1969 Mercury Cougar. Instead of stumbling through it ourselves,
we watch a professional do the installation and take note of some of the
details and tricks involved in the process. Javier was there to help and
translate, and the end result was a great looking black convertible top.
