94 4Runner: Exhaust Finished, Bodywork, and Bumper (08/31/11)
Well, I ran into town, and bought a muffler, and got some Exhaust pipe bent. I came home, cut it up, and installed it. Friggin rights! it sounds badass! I also got some work done on the bumper, just gotta finish welding it, then tweak it a tiny bit. And then i got the driver side 1/4 panel rear section welded up, and fiberglassed/kitty hair'd! 94 4Runner: Rear Disc Setup & More Little Things... (08/25/11)
Well, I woke up early today so I could get the driver side shock tower welded before the sun hit it haha! I got the brake line flared too, but not before I forgot to put the fitting on first DOH! Then I show off my rear disc brake mounts, and swapped out the axle seal. One thing i forgot to record though, was the rear wiper assembly... I went over to my buddy's place, and grabbed the wiper assembly off his parts 4runner. Then I started putting the interior back together a bit. I still have to repair or replace the power steering box, run Exhaust, and get front shocks. The rear driveshaft is finished, and will be going on tomorrow! might do a little romping vid for you guys! haha! Thanks for Watching!

How to Remove a Birfield Joint (The fast way) aka The Camo Method Toyota 4x4 Solid Axle
This is the fastest way to access a Birfield joint. This method removes the knuckle as an entire assembly from the Toyota soild or live axle (1979-1985 U.S. trucks). Because the knuckle can be removed an an entire unit you don't lose any of your wheel bearing pre-load. This method works great on the trail if you break a birfield and need to replace it. If you're looking for bomb-proof replacement birfields, this is the only place to go: http://www.longfieldsuperaxles.com/products.php?product=27-SPLINE-BIRFIELD Bobby Long's "Longfield Super Axles" The "Camo Method" is named after a moderator on Pirate 4x4. I don't know if he actually came up with it, but we've always called it the "Camo Method".
