SpeedFactory Challenger in a Supercharged Dodge Challenger SRT8 Grudge Match Drag Race
Mopars at the Strip is an annual MOPAR car show and Drag Race event held at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway every year. In 2009 SpeedFactory attended and
displayed our 600HP supercharged SpeedFactory Challenger - the first modern
Challenger to be supercharged. Next door to us was a supercharged
Challenger built by CDC/Group 2. The inevitable occurred - and Rob Wolf,
editor of Mopar Collector's Guide, did a "Pinks" style start for the grudge
match on the 1/4 mile drag strip. SpeedFactory driver Eddie Rosa emerged
victorious with a 1/4 time of 12.374 seconds at 112.66 mph, beating the
other car by 4/10 of a second.
The SpeedFactory Challenger has the Stage 3 Supercharger package, featuring a Vortech Supercharger at 5.5 lbs Boost, Hotchkis handling package, Magnaflow
catback Exhaust, and SpeedFactory
Signature package. Installed options include Richmond 3.55 gears and Boze
Tach style forged wheels. Everything else on the car is stock 2008 Dodge
Challenger SRT8. As shown in the video, the Challenger was on street tires.
On drags, the SpeedFactory Challenger runs in the 11s.

We installed a 5psi Vortech Supercharger
water to air Intercooler,and
the car came with 22inch rims that the customer installed and with a
Diablo Predator tuned on the conservative side, we made 466hp and 444tq at
the wheels on a 91 octane on our MustangDyno.On a Dyno jet you would see 506hp at

Daniel Buchanan's 300C SRT-8 is a beast. It makes so much power that they
had to ditch the factoy auto and fit a turbo 400 to the car. The engine is a 6.1-litre
Hemi stroked out to 7-litre or 426 cubes in the old money. Which meaks it a
426 Hemi (okay so it's not a real 66-71 style 426 Hemi, but it sounds cool
anyway). On top sits a 3.4-litre whipple Supercharger from Yella Terra and all the work was
done by horsepower
Factory in Melbourne. For a street car running pump 98-octane fuel it
certainly makes some power.
