How to Install 750 CFM Edelbrock Carburator on Chevy 350 Engine by Howstuffinmycarworks
In this video Chris explains how to install a 750 cfm Edelbrock carburetor on a Chevy 350 Engine. This particular engine sits in a Chevy S-10 Pick-up. The Engine has 11 1/2 Compression ratio and it produces 450 horsepower at the wheels, it has a long duration and high lift camshaft profile that makes it very fuel thirsty. A 750 cfm carb is perfect for this engine straight out of the box without needing any modifications. We normally run 110 octane race fuel on this Engine when we drive it locally or at the race track. When we take it on long trips and we don't want to deal with the hassle of transporting fuel we retard the timing 5 degrees and we run 95 octane pump gas, to avoid blowing the Engine up we keep the RPM's at 6,000 when running the truck on 95 octane pump gas.
