Exhaust Depot Genesis Turbo multi-flange Down Pipe
Hey whats up guys. Hector from Exhaust Depot here. Its been a while since ive posted an Exhaust video and thats because I got burned between doing my shop full time and working on aircrafts (Delta Aircraft Maintenance). I quit the airlines and now have a normal job with normal hrs and no more night shift! So i figured I would start making Exhaust systems again now that I dont have to sleep during the day when I worked nights. Anyways lets taulk (accent) Exhaust :) : I made a full turbo back gen coupe system when the car first came out but i never took the products to full production. I improved on my last designs and this is what i think ill keep as my final product. This is a full downpipe that replaces the o2 housing, downpipe and second cat in one piece. The rear flange is removable based on what size catback you have. Now I dont have a resonator in the back. If you MUST have a resonator, i can make it but I will place it in the front of the downpipe so it looks like a catalytic converter. Thats where the main one is located. Honestly, the resonators are to small to make any significant difference in keeping the sound down. It will only add weight. To clarify on the gasket. A 3" flange bolted to a 2.25" - 2.5" flange will have very little mating surface so the gasket will blow out pretty quick. The flange up top is a full 3" flange. Meaning we are not reducing the pipe up top to slip into a flange. We added material on the outer side of the flange to compensate for the larger 3" hole. This will give you maximum flow up town if you ever decide to upgrade to a turbo with a bigger discharge outlet.
