WORLD Racing 2012 Webisode #3: BATTLE AT BUTTONWILLOW
Fires, fires and more fires for the WORLD Racing team. WORLD Racing heads in to Buttonwillow Raceway Park for the 2012 season opener of Global Time Attack. The team spent a better portion of the day diagnosing some shifting and oil pressure issues but were able to overcome and get out on the track in the afternoon.
Len Monserrat, long time friend of Chris and WORLD Racing joined us for the weekend. Len even strapped in to the Fwing 2.0 to join Chris for a ride of a lifetime but it was cut short when the Fwing 2.0 suffered a broken hub which led to a small fire due to a brake fluid leaking on the hot brake rotor.

WORLD Racing 2012 Webisode #2: FIRST LAPS OF THE SEASON
With the first Global Time Attack race right around the corner, Chris Rado and team WORLD Racing head to Buttonwillow to test the tC2. After Chris puts in some good laps, the team gets some much needed data on the car and preps it for battle.
WORLD Racing 2012 Webisode #5: SHOWDOWN IN THE SOUTH
WORLD Racing heads in to Road Atlanta for round#2 of Global Time Attack. Lots of action for the team over the weekend. Chris hits the wall at 175mph, then the crew works through the night to make repairs to the Need for Speed Scion Racing Fwing 2.0 just in time to get Chris back out on track the following day.
Chris ends up setting a new FWD track record and securing a win in Unlimited GT FF.

WORLD Racing 2012 Webisode #6: PUSHING IT IN PALM BEACH
After a nearly three year hiatus, Chris Rado and WORLD Racing returned to the Sunshine State June 1-2, 2012 for round 3 of Global Time Attack at Palm Beach International Raceway.
Weather would play a factor, but in the end the team came out on top with Chris securing his third first place win of the season in unlimited GT FF and setting a new FWD track record in his Need for Speed Scion tC. The crew had their work cut out for them all weekend, fighting power steering issues in the Fwing 2.0 but worked diligently to find a solution and bring home the win.
WORLD Racing 2012 Webisode #1: SCREAMING ON THE BARREL
In preparation for the 2012 Race Season, Rob Cardona, Scott Stanwood & Gary Kubo head to the Dyno to test WORLD Racing's 2011 Scion tC. After a few pulls with Tuner/Data Acquisition master James Lin, the boys are happy enough with the results to pack the tC up and take her to Buttonwillow for a test session.

FIRE: Chris Rado grenades his 1,200 horsepower Scion tC at Global Time Attack
Chris Rado pushes his 1,200 horsepower front-wheel drive Scion tC to the absolute limits during the Global Time Attack season opener at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow, California. Coming around one of the final turns of his hot lap a cam sensor failed then caused the vanos to be fully advanced which more than likely tagged, then dropped a valve. Another key factor is that due to excessive g's in the corners oil pressure dropped enough to score a bearing which eventually put a rod through the block igniting the fire and burning a portion of the engine bay and electronic components.
The onboard fire suppression system failed when Chris Rado pulled the pin so he doused the fire with backup fire extinguisher. Thankfully Chris walked away unharmed.

In this episode it's still stupid HOT, and the boys from WORLD Racing had their hands full with both of their Fwing'd beasts out in Florida. After Road Atlanta the gearbox was flown back to Cali for some repairs, and a few days later it arrived in Florida for the guys to R/R.
The new AWD car also had some electrical gremlins which prevented it from coming out the majority of the competition
It's over 90 degree and close to 90% humidity..will the cars hold up to Rado's normal threshold of pain or will 40lbs of Boost and 16 turns of Sebring get the best of the team?
