Working Man's Truck Upgrades - Front Bumper [S1 Ep.11-3]
Today on GearZ, its a real world, working man's truck where Stacey shows you how to take a late model diesel pick up and make it better, stronger, and tougher than it was before...and its something that can be done in the span of one weekend without breaking the bank proving once again that you can have a cool truck and still use it on the job.

Heavy Metal Tow Truck [S7 Ep. 2-1]
Today on GEARZ, project Heavy Metal is back as Stacey rolls the old International cab over truck into the shop so he can outfit it with a vintage Holmes dual wrecker bed. It is auto recycling at its best as the big truck continues to come together using parts from a junkyard wrecker, swap meet vintage beer kegs, and even some new aftermarket parts. If you've always thought that you had to spend big money to build a unique vehicle, this "Heavy Metal" truck will not only change your mind, but probably have you digging through old junkyards and checking out pastures in hopes of finding a vintage truck project of your own! That's a typical reaction...and that's typical for GEARZ!

The Knuckle Buster [S3 Ep.1-1]
Today on GearZ, Stacey takes a well worn, '73 Chevy pickup that was left for dead in the late 80's, and starts bringing it back to life by upgrading the suspension and brakes. Not only is this a project that most anybody can do, but it is the start of a three part series of the major steps that are involved in rebuilding a vehicle. With the way the economy is and the price of new vehicles today, this show demonstrates that there is a better option than buying something new... bust your own knuckles and build it yourself! Then Stacey sits down with off-road racing legend Ivan Stewart to find out what makes him "the Ironman".

Assembling the Beast: Ted Nugent Bronco [S6 Ep.7-3]
So you think the only option you have for your project is an expensive crate engine? Well, think again.... Because that old crusty engine currently residing in your project just may be the perfect raw material to rebuild. Today on GEARZ, Stacey visits an engine rebuilder to show it is possible to breathe new life into an old engine without spending a fortune. Then it's on to the final assembly of Ted Nugent's old Zebra Bronco as the engine goes in, the parts start going on, and the big rig slowly comes back to life. It's one bad beast fit for the Motor City Madman, and it's only on GEARZ!

Why It's Dumb To Lift A Vehicle
Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last 47 years, shows why it's not such a great idea to raise a vehicle with a suspension lift kit. Whether it be a car or a truck, it often does bad things to both the suspension and drive train that can lead to expensive repairs down the road.

Woking Man's Truck Upgrades - Winches [S1 Ep.11-4]
Today on GearZ, its a real world, working man's truck where Stacey shows you how to take a late model diesel pick up and make it better, stronger, and tougher than it was before...and its something that can be done in the span of one weekend without breaking the bank proving once again that you can have a cool truck and still use it on the job.

Easy DIY Customizing - Exhausts [S1 Ep.10-1]
Quick... when it comes to performance Exhaust, what is the first name that comes to your mind? If it is not Cherrybomb, then you've missed out on a lot of years of disturbing the peace... and today, Stacey shows you why. Then it's a quick lesson on how to tuck your bumpers nice and tight and a new paint product that can help you paint your car for cheap.

Lift Your Truck for Free via a T Bar Crank (torsion bar)
How to lift my truck, Torsion bar lift, tbar lift, This video shows you how to lift your truck equipped with torsion bars. This tbar lift is done on a 2001 Mazda B3000 / Ford Ranger. You will need an alignment afterwards because of the angle change in the suspension. Tighten the tbar screw to lift the truck, loosen to lower the truck. I got a 1.5in lift and my C/V joint angle is only at a 5 degree angle so it should be fine with minimal wear. **If the video helped, please give it a "thumbs up" and consider subscribing. Muscle Truck vs. Baja Bug! 1974 Chevy C10 Battles Fred's Volkswagen Baja Bug - Roadkill Ep. 28
Remember the drag racing '74 Chevy Muscle Truck from Roadkill Episode 18? It's back, but with a twist: it's gonna become a true dual-sport ride for surf and turf, shedding its drag slicks for Super Swamper Boggers and hitting the sand dunes...hard! And to prove that a lowered, two-wheel-drive pickup can dominate the dunes, Freiburger and Finnegan set up a shootout with Fred Williams from the Dirt Every Day series on the Motor Trend channel. Fred brought out his '69 VW Baja Bug from DED Episode 23 and went head to head with the Muscle Truck on the beach at Pismo, California. The Roadkill/HOT ROD Magazine Muscle Truck is a '74 Chevy C10 shortbed, stepside, with a GM LS6 crate engine (like the all-aluminum V8 found in a C6 ZO6 Corvette). It's stock other than a small crane cam, midlength headers, and a new addition for this episode: MSD's Atomic EFI (the truck used to run a carburetor). The Atomic setup is atop a BBK intake manifold, and uses a stock LS1 throttle body. That legendary Exhaust sound comes from 3-inch pipe with 4-inch Dynomax Bullet race mufflers. The truck's transmission is a JW turbo 400 backed by a Gear Vendors over/underdrive unit. And it really needs overdrive because the Ford 9-inch rear carries 5.13 gears and a spool. The suspension features dropped spindles and Ridetech Strong Arms and air bags up front. In the rear, two leaves were removed from the stock spring packs, they were flipped under the axle, and traction is delivered by Caltrac's bars. Rat Rod vs Lamborghini Aventador! Roadkill Episode 5
On this episode of Roadkill, HOT ROD's David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan spend 24 crazy hours with a 1930 Model A Rat Rod and a 2012 Lamborghini Aventador to find out which wildly impractical, larger-than-life car attracts the most attention.
