Finally got the new bottom end, TH350 trans, and new BW S400 turbo installed and running. Took it out to the track for some break in runs. 9psi, NO timing, safe AFR. 6.96@103 was best time. Time for some better gas, more Boost, and some Dyno time!
450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile time was 7.11 for the night.

I just recently finished installing my 4.8L truck motor in my datsun 240z. Also with a borgwarner S475 turbo. And a TH350 trans. First night out with the new motor. not bad.

I put down a max of 130.5rwhp and torque at about 135ish. L24 tripple 44s Exhaust.
Datsun 240z vs Nissan GTR
This is a homebuilt twin turbo " blow through " system on a 409 cubic inch Chevy small block engine in a 72 Datsun 240 z. The car is Street Legal due to emission excemptions and is used for cruising, car shows, and drag racing. It is a Sleeper since it uses a full Exhaust system and mufflers.
Turbo Datsun 240Z strikes again!
Got my transbrake installed in the TH350, And got the car running somewhat decent. This run was at 8psi of Boost. Managed to get a best of 6.7@101mph for the night. But the time slip did not print....

Got my turbo install all finished up. Got my Mega Squirt working properly. Took her out to the track and Either spun the tires through the traps, or had to give it less throttle.

Took my 240Z to the track, after viewing the viewing the video I moticed that I cought a little bit of air. Cool!
LT1-Powered 240Z Dyno Run Dyno Day at DC Performance in Los Angeles. This guy's Z sounded beastly, pretty much maxed out the mic on my poor little camera. I don't know what numbers he made, but after every Dyno run the first smell you got was fuel, then the next was the shredded tires. Was awesome to watch.
