2017 Ford F-150 RAPTOR - The Ultimate Pickup
The all-new 2017 Ford Raptor starts with a purpose-built frame – the
backbone of the truck – that is the strongest in the F-150 lineup,
featuring more high-strength steel than the outgoing Raptor.
Forged from high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that helps save
more than 500 pounds of weight, Raptor’s exterior design is inspired by
Ford’s performance heritage in off-road racing that includes Best in the
Desert, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and the famous Baja 1000.
Raptor’s chiseled looks are reminiscent of those found in Trophy Trucks
– the most powerful and fastest off-road pickups.
Raptor is 6 inches wider than the standard F-150 for improved stability
The all-new Raptor also boasts its first-ever dual Exhaust and new 17-inch wheels with
next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires specifically designed for
Raptor is powered by Ford’s new, second-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine that produces more power with
greater efficiency than the current 6.2-liter V8, which is rated at 411 horsepower and 434
lb.-ft. of torque.
The first-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost proved its mettle off-road – racing in
the original F-150 EcoBoost Torture
Test truck in the 2010 Baja 1000, as well as notching repeated wins in
off-road race series.
The high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost
is a Raptor exclusive in the F-150 lineup. It will be paired with an
all-new 10-speed transmission for improved efficiency.
An all-new four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand transfer case, with an
advanced, easier-to-use version of off-road mode driver-assist technology,
further improves Raptor’s trail performance.
Raptor’s new transfer case, which manages power distribution between the
front and rear wheels, combines the best attributes of clutch-driven,
on-demand all-wheel drive with durable, mechanical-locking four-wheel

2015 Ford F-150 First Drive Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/f-150/2015/?id=32972 The 13th Generation
F-Series from Ford is kind of a big deal. First off the entire truck body
is made of aluminum which in turn has reduced the overall weight from
anywhere between 500-700 lbs. Also going hand-in-hand with less weight is a
better fuel economy score. The 2015 Ford F-150 is still a large pick-up
that is a worthy successor. There is no denying that Ford has raised the
bar when it comes to an efficient truck. Video by Benjamin Hunting

Taking my truck over some dirt hills, mud and water. The only casualty of
the day was my piece of plastic underneath the rad to the front bumper aka.
"the yeehaw fender". It fell out. Zip tie'll fix that.

2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Top 5 Likes & Dislikes (Episode 6)
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) The 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a capable and
even useful pickup truck that can serve as an everyday drive. But it is far
from perfect. In fact there are a number of areas that need improvement.
In Episode 6 of of this long-term test of the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor,
Roman takes a look at the Top 5 things he likes about the new Raptor and of
course the Top 5 things that he dislikes.
The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is one of the baddest trucks in the land. It can
tow 8000 pounds, seat 5 comfortably, haul all of your stuff and still race
across the desert at over 100 MPH is perfect air-conditioned comfort.
That's why we at TFLtruck choose the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor as our
first long term test truck. Usually truck manufacturers supply us with
pickups to test for a week at a time. We wanted to test the best selling
truck in the land for durability and reliability which meant buying a Ford
F-150. But not just any Ford F-150, the most powerful and the most off-road
worthy version that Ford builds.

12-19-08 F150 pulls semi truck up snowy off ramp
12/19/2008 Came across this semi truck stuck on the off ramp from the
highway. There's a yield sign there and it's up hill. Once you stop it's
hard to get going when it's slippery. There were about 10 cars behind him
that couldn't get through, backed up to the highway. He said he'd been
there for about 20 minutes when I got there. I pulled him out with my 97
F150 4X4 in 4-lo. Video is in real time (minus hooking up the rope) took
about 3 minutes to get him going again. Sorry the video is a little shaky
in the middle - my girlfriend was walking backwards in the snow trying to
keep everything in the shot.

2013 Ford F-150 Raptor SVT Supercab pickup truck - Offroading video
Ford wasn't expecting to sell many copies of the F-150 SVT Raptor when the
souped-up pickup was introduced for the 2010 model year, but the truck's
combination of off-road ability and reasonable on-road manners have made it
a surprise hit. More than 28,000 have been sold. Autoweek road test editor
Jonathan Wong takes us underneath the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor to show us
what sets it apart from the basic F-150 -- then runs it through a rugged
off-road course to demonstrate its all-terrain chops.
