1986 Camaro IROC-Z28 with a roller block swap from an 89 RS. Modified GM 601 H.O. Heads, LT1 camshaft (b-car) , Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley carburetor, Headman shorty headers. Car has open Exhaust and is untuned.
3rd Gen Camaro Build
A (lotta) work in progress. I started this project to swap a 191cubic inch
V6 to a 350 V8 (along with performance parts, and swapping & upgrading the
transmission) in 2009. (see modifications list below.) These are pictures
and videos as I progressed and the very first engine start and test drive.
I applied primer to protect the metal as I knew I would have to put the
project on hold, which is where it has been since. Plan to start again by
gutting & redoing the interior here in 2012.

335 stroker iroc
1986 IROC Camaro with a
built 305 to 335 stroker. keith black pistons, scat 5.7 rods, eagle 383
crank. 1.5 roller rockers, port polished heads, 1.94/1.50 stainless steel
valves. flowtech shorty headers with y pipe and moroso muffler. 700r4 trans
4.10 gears. didnt care to build a 350 and i'm very happy with the built 305

650 edelbrock carb, hurricane high rise air gap intake off sprint car,
15+yr old clevite cam " not sure on lift and duration" pretty big if u ask
me, somewhere around 400. 350 double hump heads "all i had to work with
they sat 5yrs, didnt do a thing to them but take em to the car wash. this
is an update motor is now junk as i didn't drain water in time and froze
and now there's a 4 inch hole in the side. thinking bout a 350 for it next.

way back) ****i wanna apologize i revved the engine like 1/4 throttle, so
it doesnt sound that great, i will take another video this spring (2012)
monte ss chevy 305 summit cam pete jackson timing gear.
this is my 86 ss im building so far i have put a cam lifters and spring in
for the first time.i still working on it but i atill need to get the timing
right i did it with out a timing tape or light but like i said it my first
time so tell what yall think.yeah it has headers with straight pipes right
now and timing gear.my distributor is maying a clicking noise or something
anyone know what that means.

update: the car was timed 40* retarded from where it should have been so
thats why it was acting the way it was. no 305 should sound like this even
open header, it was due to the changing of timing tab position between
newer and older small blocks
