here is an update on my maverick it has a blown head gasket and has had one for a while while i have been buying up parts to rebuild it i still need a stall , a1000 pump, rebuild kit for c6 and have the machine work done hope you guys like it
first start up 460 turbo blow thru turbo maverick 91mm grabber 73 big block c6
this is the first time it has been started with the turbo it did good it is a totally stock 74 truck 460 only mods are ported exh. side of the heads and a .500 lift summit cam and arp rod bolts it has a 2 barrel on it just to start it , it will soon have a 800 holley , just to help some of you guys out the manifolds will not work upside down the ports are offset between the bolts i will have to make headers soon for it to perform

1984 Ford Banks Turbo 6.9l idi vs 460 gas
Manual glow plug, electric fuel pump, banks turbo, monster Exhaust, 88 front clip.
Truck was bought 10 years ago, no lift with a 460 ci big block 4speed manual no overdrive best mpg was 12 mpg no load on the hwy.
With 8" of lift and 38's it dropped to 6 mpg.
Now with a idi diesel 6" of lift and 305's it is getting 14.5 consistently.
Next upgrade is axle swap with 4.10 gears vs the stock 3.55s with that upgrade it will get 37-39 tires again.
Goal is to keep it getting around 15 mpg if I can, possible propane or water/method injection in the future. Thought and ideas welcome.
