VW 1600 Aircooled Engine DIY Rebuild (Slideshow)
Some snaps taken during my last rebuild in 2006. Case, crank, pistons, barrels and heads were all good to go again. Camshaft, tappets, oil pump and all bearings were replaced. The tinware and ancilliaries were cleaned, detailed and/or repainted.

Fusca com motor Porsche de fábrica!
Uma raridade absoluta! A fábrica de Wolsburg fabricou uns 20 Fuscas com mecânica Porsche. Alguns ainda vivem. O projeto não foi bem vendido, pois o preço de um Fusca turbinado era igual a um Ferrari Dino e ou Lamborghini... Equipado com o poderoso motor seis-cilindros do Porsche Carrera, tem uma cilindrada de 2,7 litros com impressionantes 210 cavalos. Quando em um Fusca normalmente o motor está localizado na traseira, lá encontra-se uma caverna vazia, pois o motor Porsche está localizado na frente do eixo traseiro e está sob uma grande Caixa negra de trás dos dois bancos. O brinquedinho vai de 0 a 100 km/h em 7,3 segundos e sua velocidade final é só de 213,1 km/h. Fonte: planeta-fusca.blogspot.com
