Triumph 1800 Roadster
The Triumph 1800 Roadster was the first car built by Triumph Motor Company
after the end of World War 2. In its production years from 1946 to 1948 the
british classic car was supposed to compete against famous Jaguar models.
This specimen was built in 1947 and hasn´t lost a bit of its

Watch as FMS Automotive restores one of the most iconic automobiles in

of itself, but building a show worthy car in a few weeks can stir up quite
a bit of emotions. With the great success at the 2012 SEMA Show, it was all
We started out with a 1970's body and retrofitted most of the
characteristics of a 1956 beetle to get the best of both worlds. The two
tone custom mocha and anthracite blend combines glossy and matte finishes.
The custom leather interior resembles that of the Porsche Cayenne to give
it that luxury yet lively aura when inside the vehicle. The FMS Automotive
Beetle stands proud on matte black 17" TSW wheels wrapped in NITTO tires.

BackyardBuild Summer 2012 Turbo VW Bug preview.mpg
Here is a preview of how the car sits now, summer 2012. I have about 95% of
the bodywork done and have coated everything with 2 layers of black epoxy
primer. Lots more tune up has yielded a good running late model classic VW
beetle. As you can see I have a bunch of work left to do on the interior,
but all the gauges and lighting function. To beef everything up on the
3SGTE engine I had to utilize an aftermarket ECU, I chose the Vi-Pec. The
last part of the video shows what this setup can do. She's fast...

If you're looking for one of the coolest and most unique classics your
money can buy, welcome to the 'people's car'!
Sporting a slick coat of Burnt Candy Tangerine Metallic paint, this
fully-sorted and completely road ready Beetle recently benefitted from a
high quality frame-off rebuild that likely cost much more than our asking
price. And while its body isn't concours perfect, it is very straight and
carries a spectacular shine that will look excellent motoring down the road
to either a VW show or your favorite local hang-out.
Powering this groovy '67 Beetle is a 2,332cc Scat four cylinder which mixes
just the right amount of bling with roughly 160 horsepower. According to the
car's previous owner, the peppy engine was completely rebuilt in 2009. And
with high quality components like Scat internals and a beefed up oil
system, it'll likely putter along forever!
Take a look under this solid VeeDub and you'll find a straight,
fully-sorted chassis that's seen plenty of dry roads and years of
impeccable maintenance. The car's torsion bar and independent suspensions
have been completely rebuilt at some point, and feature 2.5 inch drop
spindles up front and a two inch narrowed axle beam out back. At the ends
of those suspensions, an EMPI four wheel disc brake system is all it takes
to bring this welterweight bug to a standstill stop. At the back of the
car, power flows from the flat-four engine to a 1,700 pound Stage 1 clutch
that turns a 4-speed Rancho Pro Street transaxle, which was completely
rebuilt by TRI Transmissions in late 2010. And at the corners of the car,
black EMPI Speedwell wheels spin 145R15 Nankangs in front of 205/65R15
Pop open this coupe's solid closing doors and you'll find a restored vinyl
interior that's the perfect spot to spend a summer afternoon cruising! All
four passengers, assuming two of them are very short, enjoy firm, pleated
seats. In front of those seats, a chrome-trimmed and silver-detailed dash
hangs a small shift light, small Auto Meter Carbon Fiber accessory gauges
and an Auto Meter Carbon Fiber Monster tach beneath a slick VDO
speedometer. Keeping the driver connected to the road is a snazzy Flat4 GT
steering wheel that makes good use of the car's small turning radius. And
keeping the good times rolling is a modern CD player that mixes Rockford
Fosgate kick speakers with Kenwood Excelon package tray speakers.
If you're looking for a fun and unique classic that's stuffed with charming
character and so much more, this fully-sorted Beetle is your ticket. Call,
