2011 Jaguar B99 Concept by Bertone
Only moments after posting the teaser image, German print mag Autobild
bashed us over the head with these three photos of the Jaguar design
Reminiscent of the classic Jaguar XJ, the imposing 4-door concept serves as
a potential new entry-level model in vein of the discontinued X-Type.
Looking at the door handles, the retro design features rearward opening
(suicide) rear doors. Seemingly, Bertone is going for a new approach to the
four-door coupe design trend but without the sloping roof line. Here
Bertone has inserted a normal sedan-like C-pillar but have made the rear
doors half the size of the front doors.
Proportions are 4.5 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 1.35 meters tall -
slightly smaller than the old X-Type. With the shortened greenhouse adding
to its sleek look we couldn't help but remember the Ford Interceptor
Concept from 2007.
For the powertrain, all we know is that its being billed as a long range

No doubt, the B99 is a head turner but will it receive a positive response
from the media and fans alike? We'll find out soon enough when the B99
makes its debut in Geneva on March 1st. In the meantime, let us know what

Jaguar E-Type Restoration - 2 1/2 years in 8 minutes
Restoration video of a Series II Jaguar E-Type. The restoration took two
and a half years, thousands of hours of labor, and much, much more $$. The
Jag was last licensed in 1983 and spent the last 15 years outside with a
deteriorated car cover. This was a nut and bolt restoration. Everything
was rebuilt or replaced. Every motor, caliper, assembly, etc. was
dissassembled and rebuilt.
