I put everything together from bumper to bumper, including building the engine. The transmission is the only item on the car I did not rebuild. Many hours, blood, sweat, and tears went into this car! VW Beatle California look - Top Gear
Some Britsh guys and girls took a VW Beatle as a souvenir home after the
victory on Germany who didn't need any car caused of carpet bombing. They
made out sunny cars of them.

Volkswagen 1200 Sedan Sunroof (1961)
This video shows a VW 1200 Sedan with Sunroof (original "Golde" system)
that has been kept in our family since new. The car was registered in
Portugal (Porto) in June 1961, right after being imported from Germany. It
is one of the first units with the 1192cm 34Hp engine. Two years ago it
underwent a complete restoration. You can see the result in this video and
drive with me and my brother across the streets of our hometown, Porto.
