My 1962 VW Beetle project finally seeing the light after being in the garage for 2 years while I put her together from a bare shell and frame. I put everything together from bumper to bumper, including building the engine. The transmission is the only item on the car I did not rebuild. Many hours, blood, sweat, and tears went into this car! She should be on the road soon! I can't wait!!!

1776cc (69mm x 90.5mm) with dual 40 IDF Weber carbs. Engle 120 cam w/ performance lifters. 40mm x 35mm valves (044 heads). Tri-mil Exhaust. Oil/filter pump combo. Flamethrower II coil & points replacement. 009 distributor. 8mm performance plug wires.

VW Beatle California look - Top Gear
Some Britsh guys and girls took a VW Beatle as a souvenir home after the victory on Germany who didn't need any car caused of carpet bombing. They made out sunny cars of them.
Here safe at home they give this severe nasty looking VW a SoCal, a sunny car look. Now they would be able getting started picking up enthusiastic girls around the beach area.
That car became a Beatle it wouldn't hurt the English man any more. It wasn't a battle ship any longer.
History: After rebuilding their Germany it starts producing VW's again including the Kdf car pre-designed by Hitler.
It became a real plague. Millions of them were driving everywhere around the world. No body could stop them.
Even the police. In Nehterlands and Amsterdam the Police drove them. But nowadys again. If you call Dutch of German Police for help soon a VW will appear!
1951 Volkswagen Deluxe Beetle Sunroof (W/ Crotch Coolers)
1951 VW Deluxe Sunroof Beetle. The car was originally a hardtop sedan, but now has a 3-fold section from a 1950 Volkswagen. The car is mostly all original paint (black) and original bumper to bumper in regards to the body and pan. Non-OG items include an updated swingaxle tranny, Aluminum Cased 2110cc Motor with 44 IDF Webers, DTM Fan Shroud and A-1 SideWinder Exhaust and the two front seats are out of an oval window beetle. The front end on the car has been narrowed 4 inches and sports disc brakes on all four corners.
