Maserati Alfieri concept, first presentation
Maserati Alfieri concept, first presentation. Geneva.5.03.14 Press info: dopting an appealing curvaceous styling approach with elegant lines, the Alfieri 2+2 concept is based on Maserati's GranTurismo MC Stradale but has a 24cm shorter wheelbase which makes us think the company is plotting a new entry-level model. The design of the concept takes its inspiration from classic cars such as the 1957 3500 GT and the 1959 5000 GT. The concept seen here is 4590mm long, 1,930mm wide and 1,280mm tall, with a 2,700mm wheelbase and specially developed 20-inch front / 21-inch rear wheels. Its heart and soul is a naturally-aspirated V8 4.7-liter engine outputting 460 bhp (343 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) at 4,750 rpm delivered to the road via a six-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Behind the retro-looking alloys are MC Stradale-sourced carbon ceramic disc brakes with blue Brembo brake calipers. Inside it has a 2+2 arrangement with an open-space cargo area and Aniline leather upholstery also found on the central console and dashboard. The cabin has been beautified with copper highlights while single-piece aluminum billets were used to create the gearbox lever, oval clock and seat profile inserts. The aluminum-made steering wheel spokes, gearbox paddles and pedals have received a palladium hue.

Lamborghini Huracan, technical story, present by Maurizio Reggiani Press info: Lamborghini has officially unveiled the Huracan LP 610-4 at the Geneva Motor Show. Designed to replace the Gallardo, the Huracan is named after a fighting bull that showed "outstanding courage and strong sense of attack." As for the car itself, it has an aggressive exterior that borrows cues from the Aventador and Sesto Elemento. Notable highlights include full LED headlights, aggressive air intakes and a four tailpipe Exhaust system. The interior is significantly improved with higher quality materials and modern components. However, the biggest change is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all the useful information as well as infotainment and navigation data. Power is provided by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that develops 610 HP (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 0-200 km/h in 9.9 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph). The model also has an engine start/stop system which enables the car to average 12.5 L/100km (18.8 mpg US / 22.5 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 290 g/km. Lamborghini is currently accepting orders and the first deliveries are slated to occur this spring.
