180SX blown turbo test (SR20DET)
Reving the engine up to 6000rpm to see how much smoke comes out due to the original T25 turbo being blown. As you can see the smoke does not comes out on Boost, just when idling which is a clear example that the smoke is not produced by piston rings or valve seals. Worn out piston rings or valve seals produce smoke even when reving up the engine.

My SR20det (Green Machine) after rebuild
Just a quick list of stuff i've baught and done to the motor during its down time. Hopefully this will inspire some people to take their builds to the next level and spend some extra time on them. I make good money but not alot. You can have a built motor in no time if you pick away at it and dont rush things. Thanks alot to Butler & Macmasters Automotive in Hallowell Maine for the amazing machine work, assembly and care of my motor. Thanks to Erics Performance parts out in Cali for good prices on some hard to find replacements!. Thanks to West Covina Nissan as well for the Great customer service and speedy delivery. Enjoy.

*skip to 18:18 to see video of the car running *skip to 24:53 for Dyno video so after my last video the car ran good for about 2 weeks. long story short, the tune that my last shop did set my motor up for detonation so cylinder #1 dropped a significant amount of compression. the other 3 did as well but not to such a degree. it took me around 7-8 months to gather enough money to go with forged internals rather than OEM. i was on the verge of purchasing all the parts when i came across what i thought was too good to be true. someone in north carolina had a nice 1996 nissan 240se shell and fully built block for sale. he was asking right around what it would of cost me to rebuild my motor and considering i was getting a entire car and many aftermarket parts with it, it was a no-brainer for me... I WAS SOLD! here are SOME of the parts included with the 1996 240 shell: -Freddy intake manifold/$140 FULLY ASSEMBLED BLOCK (BLUEPRINTED AND RACE BALANCED) -9:1 forged cp pistons $470 -Brian crower 1200hp "I beam extreme" 19mm GT-R +625 ARP hardware/ $630 -ACL race rod and main bearings /$121.60 -nissan thrust washer /$12 -B&M short shifter/$200 -magan manifold/$101 -Megan turbo elbow/$55 -stock inj w/ fuel rail/$80 -Intercooler and piping/$140 -t25 stock turbo/$100 -sr20 stock maf/$45 -sr20det stock oil pan/$30 -winning specialties harness/$200 -sr20det transmission -stance rear upper control arms -stance coilovers/ $1000 -greddy blow off valve -turbosmart Boost controller -z32 MAF and some other stuff.. picked it all up and the rest was history. car made some healthy numbers after everything was dialed in, the head will get built next and them I'm gonna be going for 450hp so subscribe for updates hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching Dyno tuned by rolo at CFT turbo in orlando
