2008 BMW 650i Convertible Deep Sea Blue Metallic A2639
Deep Sea Blue Metallic 2008 BMW 650i Convertible with Navigation, Sport
Package, Head Up Display, Comfort Access System, Active Steering, Satellite
Radio, and Logic 7 Stereo is one of the most eye-catching cars on the road.
The 650i is a beautiful car that will draw many stares wherever you go.
From its great sport package with stylish wheels to its awesome sound
system with satellite radio, this car has everything you'll need for a
beautiful, luxurious, and classy convertible that can be driven all year.
Further, as a one-owner Carfax certified automobile, you can rest assured
that this car was taken excellent care of with all its services handled on
time. Plus, coming right out of sunny south Florida, it has no rust or
other damage from the harsh winter elements. Let's see what this great car
has to offer you.
EXTERIOR: The body of your new 650i looks great covered in a luscious coat
of DEEP SEA BLUE METALLIC paint. The color is absolutely beautiful and the
perfect color to complement the outstanding design. The paint is in great
shape with no scrapes, scratches or serious blemishes to mention. This
great car has a fantastic engine to go with its great looks: a six speed
automatic 4.8L DOHC V8 engine with 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of
torque. This means that the car doesn't hesitate when your foot hits the
gas pedal! The car's sport package (that retailed new at around $2,200)
adds great wheels and tires and unique features on the inside! You'll love
the way the car feels as you drive. The black soft top is in great shape
with no rips or tears. It works perfectly and goes up and down with just an
easy push of a button. Xenon adaptive automatic headlights outfit the front
of the car for outstanding visibility in all driving situations.
Rain-sensing windshield wipers are another great addition because they will
turn on automatically when the heavens let loose. The power heated
auto-dimming mirrors tilt down as you reverse so that you can see the
ground as you back up. This car is also equipped with active steering which
automatically adjusts the steering ratio depending on your speed. At low
speeds it adjusts for easy navigation, and at higher speeds it adapts for
stability. This is a great safety feature which also added $1,400 to the
original price tag. This 2008 model has the remainder of its factory 50,000
mile basic and powertrain warranties good until 12/28/2011!
INTERIOR: The interior is outfitted in very plush BLACK PEARL LEATHER
upholstery complemented by wood trim. It's very likely your friends have
never seen such a nice color combination before! The car smells clean and
fresh with no foul odors, whether from smoke or anything else. The 14-way
power front sport bucket seats feel comfortable and thanks to the sport
package they also have thigh and lateral support! To help keep you
comfortable there is dual-zone automatic climate control with auto air
circulation and other great functions. If you take a look at the lower
left of the windshield, you will see a very convenient read out of your
speed and other car announcements provided courtesy of the Head Up Display.
This great feature was a $1,200 addition and provides convenience and
safety. One of the nicest features of the vehicle is the iDrive system with
BMW navigation system. For navigation, you'll have turn by turn directions
and maps so you can always get to your destinations easily and you'll know
exactly where you are. Also housed in the same unit are on-screen visual
controls for the climate, car options, and entertainment. The Logic 7 AM/FM
with CD player and MP3 capabilities sounds absolutely superb for a
top-notch listening experience.
Our goal is to make sure the overall condition of the car is as close to
new as possible. This means a full detail that includes polishing any light
scratches and professionally touching up chips. All dings are
professionally removed. While our cars are close-to-new, keep in mind that
they are pre-owned and may show some signs of wear. We will be more than
happy to go over the car panel-by-panel with you on the phone for extra
details. Also, think of the great savings you will have with this purchase.
The MSRP for this car new was $95,170 with all the great options! You can
avoid paying too much money while still driving an awesome car. See the
evidence of what many years of world class engineering can produce with
your new 2008 BMW 650i Convertible!

BMW 650i Convertible-- Video Test Drive with Chris Moran
An in-depth 2008 BMW 650i Convertible review with Chris Moran.
For most people, purchasing a large luxury coupe or convertible is entirely
an act of passion and indulgence, and right or wrong, outward appearance
can make or break the deal. Compared to the sleek offerings from rival
manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar, well...let's just say the 2008 BMW
6 Series has a great personality. If there is such a thing as a sleeper
among the entries in the big-ticket touring class, this is it. Only when
you've taken the time to become fully acquainted with its pure driving
dynamics, innovative use of technology and lower price of entry does the 6
Series' true beauty become apparent.
In its fifth year of production, the rear-wheel-drive, four-passenger BMW
650i coupe is based on the same platform used for the 5 Series sedan. But
BMW aims the 6 Series higher. It has but one engine available, a 4.8-liter
V8. Not a single body panel is shared with the sedan, and the front and
rear suspensions are likewise calibrated for the 650's lower ride height
and sportier intentions. To keep its weight in check, aluminum is used
extensively for the suspension, hood and doors. Thermoplastic front fenders
and a composite deck lid do their high-tech best to keep the 6 Series
feeling spry, though this is still essentially a 4,000-pound car.
BMW equips its 6 Series well in terms of equipment, and you'll find but a
handful of features that are optional. Convertibles use a fully lined
folding soft top rather than a retractable hardtop, but it's a
sophisticated design capable of keeping interior noise to sedanlike levels.
The glass rear window opens for ventilation when the roof is up, and can be
raised to act as a wind buffer when the top is down. If you don't want to
go the convertible route, the 6 Series coupe feels nearly as airy, thanks
to its large glass roof section. The glass is too large to slide open, but
you can tilt it up slightly for ventilation.
Among high-dollar touring coupes and convertibles, the 2008 BMW 6 Series is
easily one of our top recommendations. However, for buyers chiefly
interested in style and opulence, the sleeker Mercedes-Benz CL550 and
Jaguar XK/XKR will prove more satisfying. The same goes for the highly
regarded Mercedes SL550 roadster. For enthusiast types who care about the
drive above all else, the smaller Porsche 911 is likely the better choice,
as it easily outhandles this plus-size Bimmer coupe.
Yet these cars are all more expensive than the 6 Series. And while cost
concerns are seldom of primary concern in this segment, when a car strikes
that near-perfect compromise between coddling its passengers and thrilling
its driver that the 2008 BMW 650i does, such a value proposition is hard to
Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
Available in both coupe and convertible body styles, the 2008 BMW 650i
comes with a healthy complement of standard features including 18-inch
wheels, adaptive xenon headlights, leather upholstery, 12-way power front
seats with driver memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth
and an eight-speaker CD audio system with iPod integration and a regular
auxiliary audio jack. The convertible has a power soft top with a power
retractable rear window.
Two distinct option packages are available: Sport, which brings 19-inch
alloy wheels, enhanced exterior trim and sport seats to the table; and Cold
Weather, with heated seats and steering wheel. Other options include active
steering, adaptive cruise control, upgraded leather upholstery, a
surround-sound audio system, HD and satellite radios, a head-up display and
Powertrains and Performance
Motivation for both the rear-wheel-drive 650i coupe and convertible is
provided by a 4.8-liter V8 rated at 360 horsepower and 360
pound-feet of torque. Shifting duties are carried out by either a six-speed
manual or BMW's new six-speed automatic transmission with
steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and downshift rev-matching.

BMW 645ci Sport Coupe--D&M Motorsports Video Walk Around 2012 Chris Moran
SEE OVER 100 IN-DEPTH AUTO REVIEWS @ www.SUPERCARNETWORK.com. An in-depth
walk around presentation of a 2004 BMW 645ci Coupe with Chris Moran.
Presented by D&M Motorsports.
Ever since the last 635CSi rolled off the production line in 1989, BMW fans
have wondered how long it would be before the automaker revived one of its
most popular GT coupes. The later 8 Series coupes, sold in the U.S. from
1991 to 1997, were fast and pretty, too. But they also were heavy, with no
real rear legroom, and expensive. The new 645Ci melds the flavor of both
previous models, adding heavy doses of the company's current technology and
design language. Sharing architecture with the new 5 Series sedan, it's
taller and has a greater overall length than the old 8 Series, with a
wheelbase nearly five inches longer.
The 645Ci is powered by a throaty, responsive 4.4-liter, 333-horsepower V-8, with 332
pound-feet of torque available at 3600 rpm. That's more horsepower than the old 8
Series' 5.4-liter V-12 and almost as much torque.
In a hurry? How about 0-to-60 in a BMW-estimated 5.4 seconds? This car
makes you want to risk getting a ticket every day of the week.
There are three six-speed transmission choices: a Steptronic automatic, a
sequential-manual gearbox, and a flawless manual. For those who enjoy a
stick but don't want to deal with a clutch, the 645's SMG will gladly take
care of the work and do an excellent job of it.

As is the case with BMWs, the fully independent suspension absorbs bumps
and inconsistencies without detaching the driver from the feel of the road,
and the 6 holds on for dear life during aggressive cornering. The
aluminum-intensive, rear-drive Ci has a near-50/50 weight distribution and
a wide track and packs all the electronic acronyms you can stomach (DSC,
CBC, ASC), all of which Boosts its
stellar handling ability.
About the styling: While the direction BMW is taking doesn't appeal to
everyone, the 6 Series is eye candy from most angles. The 7 Series-like
creased trunklid still takes getting used to, but, overall, this muscular
two-door looks good. Inside, the cabin design and materials lend a
sophisticated, sporty, and luxurious air. The front seats are comfortable
for long drives, and, unlike the old 8, the rear seats are useable, at
least for shorter jaunts.
While the new 645Ci differs significantly from its forebears, it won't
disappoint BMW 6/8 Series fans and will spark the interest of those who
want a superbly executed luxury sport coupe. It's a glorious car, one that
excels for high-speed straightaway work and winding through canyons. It
makes us wonder what they have in mind for the M version
Luckily, BMW had the foresight not to incorporate the top's operation into
the car's overly complicated iDrive system; the fully lined top is
power-operated by a console-mounted button, lowering in 24 seconds. This
rather trick lid is windowless, allowing the designers to integrate the
glass into the rear deck, directly aft the headrests and completely
independent of the top so the vertical window can be deployed as a wind
deflector when the top is down, or, with top up, the glass can be lowered
to increase pass-through ventilation for the cabin. Rear window operation
is controlled from the driver's door-mounted switches, which can be
programmed to lower or raise all five windows simultaneously using a single
Powered by the same brawny 4.4-liter, 325-horsepower V-8 as in the
coupe, the convertible is offered with a choice of six-speed manual,
six-speed automatic, or six-speed sequential-manual gearboxes. Power comes
on strong, fast, and smooth, and the engine emits a satisfying burble, an
aural reminder that BMW continues to build some of the best powerplants in
the business. Although the convertible weighs about 400 pounds more than
the coupe, due to its structural reinforcements and folding-top mechanisms,
our six-speed manual-equipped tester still managed a dash to 60 in an
impressive 5.6 seconds. This is only a tenth of a second behind the last
automatic-equipped Porsche 911 Cabriolet we tested (August 2002).
BMW's Active Roll Stabilization is standard on the 6 Series and helps
hustle the convertible through the slalom at 64.5 mph, beating Cadillac's
XLR and Lexus's SC 430, but falling behind Mercedes's SL500 and Maserati's
Spyder. Vented, 13.7-inch two-piece iron and aluminum brake rotors help the
two-ton-plus convertible stop from 60 in only 112 feet.
