TPC Turbo Powered Porsche Cayman S Power Run and Review
www.vividracing.com installs and tests the new TPC turbo Kit for the Porsche Cayman S. Adding 100-150HP at 5.5psi of Boost, this bolt-on turbo kit takes the Porsche Cayman to a completely new level. Team Driver Jack takes the car through the 2 lane mining roads of Arizona testing the cars performance.
TPC Cayman Turbo test drive with Michael Levitas
TPC's Michael Levitas takes me for a test drive in a Cayman turbo they just converted for a customer.
The car is simply awesome. The drivability is the same as stock until you
push it -- then all hell breaks loose! With this kit, TPC has turned the
Cayman into something very special. You can use it on your daily commute
and on the weekend go out to your local track and "spank" a GT3.

So I just got my Cayman back from TPC with their latest tune up just the
day before the snow hit in the DC area. It was then locked up in the garage
for a week until I finally started to take her to work. Still it was cold
and not so nice.
Today it was finally sonny and I thought it was a good day to take her out,
take some pictures and video record the new Exhaust note etc.
Well it was one of those days.
The thread in the camera to mount it came lose and camera started to tilt.
Adjusted that twice and at the end just left it tilted. It was still only
about 38F outside and the road mostly wet even though it looks dry in the
vid. So not much grip and you can enjoy watching me almost putting it in
The current engine modifications of my 2006 Cayman S:
TPC turbo ATP2
catless race header
customized, selectable ECU mappings for 93 and 100 octane
Boost controller 5.5 and 7psi.
Almost to exactly 3,000rpm the car sounds exactly the same as before and
you can cruise at about 73mph and not notice any modifications. The car
drives just like it always has. Push it past 3K and the car completely
changes, the Boost is still very
linear but much harder and never lets off well deep into 7K rpm. The Exhaust note changes radically, very
raspy, very angry really more pissed than anything.
The biggest difference to before is the throttle sensitivity.

Proto-Tech Porsche Cayman Twin Turbo Test Run in [HD]
This Porsche Cayman is a one off build it consists of the 2.7L with
strengthened Internals transferred to a beefed up 5 speed transmission with
a locking Diff. The Exhaust flows
through a set of custom made equal length headers with F1 style collectors,
giving it even power with an aggressive sound. The factory fuel injection
has been slightly modified to flow more psi along with feed this little
monster e85. It has a host of stopping and cooling goodies as well.

Main review: Clarkson reviews the Porsche Cayman, which is cut short by the
director's expression of disgust at Clarkson complaining about mostly
everything about the car (which he bought as an investment, to Jeremy's own
disgust). Clarkson was so sure that it was merely a Boxster Coupé that he
refused to call it anything but a Coxster. The Stig posts a 1:26.7 for the
News: Hammond shows one viewer's attempt to get directions from Nottingham
to Bideford, while avoiding the M5 motorway via the RAC plc website. The
route took her into the Atlantic Ocean, into France, and crosses Ireland
Documentary and Review: Hammond explains the history of British racing
green, with a run in a Bentley Blower, and a 1903 Napier and reviews a
recreation of a Vanwall F1 car.
Star in a reasonably priced car: Ian Wright discusses why footballers like
David Beckham, Wes Brown and John O'Shea would buy a Lincoln Navigator. Lap
Challenge: Hammond and May play with life-size radio control cars made from
real cars. After each had a turn at the controls and in the passenger seat,
one rode in the car while the other attempted to navigate it through a
quarry floor course, and keep a caravan from being crushed by a wrecking
ball. The two then raced against the British Under-15 Radio Control
Champion on a new course, ending with them trying to jump another caravan,
and (of course) failing. Back in the studio Clarkson shows off a full size
radio controlled car that flies. He flies it over peoples heads in the
Challenge: Clarkson, in an Audi RS4, competed against the climber Leo
Houlding to see who could make it to the top of the Verdon Gorge in France.
After he loses the hillclimb challenge he challenges the climber to descend
faster than he does, whereupon the
climber base-jumps to the bottom. Clarkson thinks the RS4 is a landmark
departure from the usually tepid fast Audis, and hails the lightweight,
high-revving V8 as one of the best engines ever made.
