1971 American Motors Javelin vintage test drive video.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------AMC Javelin, second generation design (1971 -1974). The Javelin was restyled for 1971 and like the Mustang of the period, became bigger in most every dimension.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Today the AMC Javein is fast gaining a following for being unique and and as a muscle car for those who dare to be different.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------AMC was purchased by Chrysler Corporation in 1987 in order to acquire the Jeep brand, which AMC had owned since 1970. With the purchase by Chrysler, AMC became the last independent and thsu ended a long history dating back to 1902.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AMC will live on in the cars that remain and which are cherised by those who dare to break away from the pack.

1970 AMC Javelin 390 V8 4 Speed
My Papa's 1970 AMC Javelin 390 4 speed. He has owned it for 18 years and it runs like a demon. Here we are in East Texas taking a cruise. Enjoy!
One last short burn-out with my HOT 1969 AMC Javelin
In June of 2008 I was forced to sell my beloved 69 Javelin because of medical problems that my wife was having, and loss of work time, and pay, to be by her side no matter what it takes. The bills still keep coming in, and I need to turn her into cash. My 1969 AMC Javelin 1 hour before the new owner picked up the car. I have owned for almost 40 years. It has a built 343, 30 over, Crane cam & kit, Hooker Headers, Offy 360 manifold, 4 speed, 3:91 posi rear, Lalewood tracton bars. It is a very strong runner, and I am still crying over the loss, that will never be able to be replaced. The second part of the clip is my sons 1968 AMX. At least he will carry on the AMC tradition in the family. Maybe he will let me get behind the wheel sometime. UPDATE!!! Nov 2008... The new owner has informed me that he had blown the motor up, iy only has 9000 miles on it since a total restoration almost 25 years ago. Way to go!!!! I should have sold my Corvette and kept my Javelin. Boy did I screw up!!!
UPDATE 3/04/2012. I once agin have a smile on my face, as I just purchased a fantastic looking BBG 1969 AMX. It sounds and looks a lot like my BBG Javelin.

1970 AMC Javelin
Dennis Allen's 1970 AMC Javelin is not your grandma's AMC. It's a 401 cubic inch fire red Camaro killer than has been featured on the cover of Street Thunder magazine. Lance Lambert, host of TV's "Vintage Vehicle Show" learns how Dennis changed this car from a well used used car into magazine cover beauty. More information about the "Vintage Vehicle Show" can be found at www.vintagevehicletv.com

1974 AMC Javelin prime for the next car show and cruise.
The Big Rambler/AMC/Jeep Show, Kenosha, WI, 2007
On Saturday, July 28, 2007, four days after my leg cast came off, I was up shooting video at the Rambler/AMC/Jeep show in Kenosha, WI, the largest such show in the country.
Felt real good to be back on two legs again.
And before you start writing in with blood in your eyes, yes, I know the Alliance pictured isn't an '83; convertibles didn't come out till a few years later. This one was the only one at the show. Encores, Medallions, Sportwagons and Premiers weren't there at all. You owners of '83 to '88 Renault cars should be better represented at next year's show; they were as much a part of the AMC story as the Rambler and the Jeep.
1971 AMC Javelin SST 401 tears up the track
My favorite car in a vintage road test, set to modern hard rock. Let's hope this lasts more than 10 minutes before getting yanked.
