XS-POWER R35 GTR 3.5 Stainless Cat Back Exhaust Nissan GT-R SSAC DV8
2009 Nissan GT-R with
XS-Power Non Resonated Mid pipe. 3" to 3.5"
No other engine modifications.
Exhaust cost $850 from
Relentless_Performance on Ebay. Lower priced competitor was M2 with what
seems to be an exact replica ($650). I had one and sent it back, because it
was shipped in bad shape. Also, mufflers didn't have the burn like the
Nearest more expensive competitor, is Tanabe for $1700+
Direct ship FedEx from China, packaged very well.
Blue on tips seems weak, because although packaged well, they still had a
bit of blue rub off. Not nearly as bad as the M2.
The outside tailpipes merge needed some cleanup work. Very little but,
grinding needed (Performance Picky).
Merge into the mufflers was well blended and already cleaned up, as were
both other flanges.
The blue look on the mufflers is awesome from the rear grill view.
The fade on the tips are hardly noticeable once installed. There is
however, a slight lowered appearance to the right side tail pipes. It
should be easy enough to correct by manipulating the extra long hanger rods
on the muffler.
If XS-Power can fix the weak blue tint, clean up all merges and make sure
visually everything lines up, this is the ultimate GT-R Exhaust for the money.
I was told they also offer this Exhaust in a stainless only finish.
Installation was a breeze. Nissan made the GT-R very easy to take apart.
After the stocks Exhaust tips are
removed, then the stock muffler, this Exhaust goes in directly. Smaller and lighter
overall than stock.
No fitment issues, all parts supplied to plug and play.
It sounds bassy at idle, but hardly sounds different or even
quieter(cleaner) going fast vs stock(great!).
Between 2-3kRPM cruising, there is a low drone, but it all concentrated in
the rear. It doesn't bother me, but the stereo drowns it out. A resonated
mid-pipe would be the ultimate solution for picky buyers.
Overall, with the negatives, the performance aspect of 3.5 in cat-back that
sounds like this, for the cost is unbeatable in my book.
Thanks for watching.

Leaving the IS-F Family
The best and most fun car I've owned. It will truly be missed. The
transmission shifts like lightning, and blip down shifts for you, the V8
sound incredible with headers and Exhaust, I ran an 11.3 in a 1/4 without much
to-do other than 130 shot of Nitrous and
the looks are sexy as hell.
So why am I moving on?
My dream car is the GT-R and I bought one. I can say I'm not too torn up by
the fact that I will soon part with my F, because my girlfriend will soon
get one and I will transfer most parts over to it, but I will miss my
Enjoy the intoxicating sound of this legendary import V8 going WOT.
2008 Lexus IS-F Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
Well ever since I did the video on the 2011 IS-F I have been on a search
for the famous ultrasonic blue mica that had been featured in all the
original press releases for the IS-F upon it's release. Plus I wanted a
more smooth orchestrated video that taught viewers a little more about the
history behind the car, my search is over and I hope everyone enjoys! In
this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2008 Lexus IS-F. This car is
also part of the vast hendrick performance collection. I take viewers on a
close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing
details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the
vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up
and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this
car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Thanks a lot to Hendrick BMW of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this
video! For more info on this vehicle as well as others visit
