After getting all of the dash parts painted, assembly is in full swing to make deadline for the 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour. Jonathan Myren talks about the unique steering wheel for this project. French title Chassis n° 613 372 Engine n° AR000502/A*18933 - Authentic GTA version with matching numbers - Exciting history - Restored keeping originality of the car - Ex-Willy Mairesse 1965 "Rallye des deux Catalognes" Unveiled in September 1963, the Giulia Sprint GTA coupé was derived from the saloon. It had the same 1600cc twin-cam engine on the same platform, but with an elegant and restrained Bertone-styled body. Being active in competition, a special version was presented at the start of 1965 : the famous GTA (A for allégée), which differed from the production model with its largely aluminium body. This would be the basis for various competition models which would earn an enviable record of success, on the track and in rallies.
