UPDATE!! 1997 nissan s14 kouki sr20det build (part2) with dyno video!
*skip to 18:18 to see video of the car running
*skip to 24:53 for Dyno video
so after my last video the car ran good for about 2 weeks. long story
short, the tune that my last shop did set my motor up for detonation so
cylinder #1 dropped a significant amount of compression. the other 3 did as
well but not to such a degree.
it took me around 7-8 months to gather enough money to go with forged
internals rather than OEM.
i was on the verge of purchasing all the parts when i came across what i
thought was too good to be true.
someone in north carolina had a nice 1996 nissan 240se shell and fully
built block for sale. he was asking right around what it would of cost me
to rebuild my motor and considering i was getting a entire car and many
aftermarket parts with it, it was a no-brainer for me... I WAS SOLD!
here are SOME of the parts included with the 1996 240 shell:
-Freddy intake manifold/$140
FULLY ASSEMBLED BLOCK (BLUEPRINTED AND RACE BALANCED)
-9:1 forged cp pistons $470
-Brian crower 1200hp "I beam extreme" 19mm GT-R +625 ARP hardware/ $630
-ACL race rod and main bearings /$121.60
-nissan thrust washer /$12
-B&M short shifter/$200
-Megan turbo elbow/$55
-stock inj w/ fuel rail/$80
-Intercooler and piping/$140
-t25 stock turbo/$100

-sr20det stock oil pan/$30
-winning specialties harness/$200
-stance rear upper control arms
-stance coilovers/ $1000

and some other stuff..
picked it all up and the rest was history.

get built next and them I'm gonna be going for 450hp so subscribe for
hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching

Definitive Z: The Limit and Legacy of the Datsun 240Z
John Williams is as hardcore a Datsun as a they come. A relative
late-comer, he embraced the Z culture in the early 1980s. Since then he's
used his skills as a machinist, and passion as an enthusiast, to produce
his own parts for award-winning classics. Among the finest is his silver
240Z, a labor of love for a sports car that changed the West's perception
of what the Japanese could do. Three generations later, the Nissan Z
continues to define the Japan's sports car culture.
Find out why.

450hp LS1 1978 Datsun 280Z
One of the coolest imports I've had the opportunity to see in action, this
extremely streetable 1978 Datsun 280z takes it's first trip to the drag
strip to do some testing. The car has an LS1 with heads, cam, and FAST
intake manifold putting down around 450 wheel horsepower! Best 1/8 mile
time was 7.11 for the night.
