Ford Cougar - One of a kind!!!
Factory built car! What a weapon!

1971 Mercury Cougar XR-7 - SOLD!
1971 started the first year of the restyled Mercury Cougar. It weighed less and had only a one-inch-longer wheelbase (112 inches) than its predecessors. The front end now featured four exposed headlights, the center grille piece was now larger, the rear featured a semi-fastback with a flying buttress sail-pane, the XR-7 returned, and the engine lineup was revised for 1971 as well. This Cougar features a 351 Windsor 2-barrel V8, has a C-6 A/T, P/S and P/B. It has not only a beautiful exterior, but a beautiful interior and you could nearly eat off of the bottom side of the car. It has dual Exhaust and exudes quiet power. GROWL! If you are looking for a great summer cruiser, completely done, turn key, get in and drive, you owe it to yourself to own this one. Don't hesitate—you know who you are that missed out on the last two!! Vehicle information above is deemed reliable but not guaranteed. All vehicles are offered subject to an inspection and an appraisal if desired. Financing is available through JJ Best Banc. Delivery arrangements are available. Please call 503-855-4345 for more information.

Lot S128 1971 Mercury Cougar 429 Cobra Jet 4-speed
Mercury was a force in mid-sixties factory FX racing with its crazy 427 Comets, but by the late sixties had become identified more with luxury than performance. One of the exceptions to this trend was the Cougar, which earned a serious performance reputation in both drag and road racing. A genuine all-matching-numbers concours-quality example of Mercury's ponycar is offered here in the form of this singularly rare 1971 Cougar 429 Cobra Jet 4-speed. Only 18 1971 Cougars were equipped with this top-of-the-line power combination; this car is the only one of that group originally finished in Black. Fresh from a private Cobra Jet collection, the car's no-expense-spared restoration is evident in every detail from its as-new exterior finish and brightwork to the impeccable Medium Green interior that includes the unmistakable Hurst T-handle shifter. This is the sort of presentation that comes from pride of both ownership and craftsmanship. A factory A/C car with power steering and brakes, this rare and remarkable car comes with complete documentation that includes a Marti Report. Highlights: - One of one Black 429 Cobra Jet 4-speed with A/C - No-expense-spared rotisserie restoration - Concours-quality presentation - Complete documentation includes Marti Report

65 Mustang Fastback Restoration Project
This is my 1965 Mustang Fastback I rescued from a field rusting away. I finished it around July of 2008 in my back yard garage with no professional assistance at all. It took me about 26 months to complete. It has a 302 Ford motor and an 5 Speed manual transmission. I restored this car to the information on the original data plate on the door that included the body color and interior. The stripe is unique in that I added a darker red to the Poppy Red body color to get a stripe that is a little darker but blends in with the factory color. This car features four wheel disc brakes made from all Ford parts.

I've pulled the interior and vinyl top. I'll be replacing the sheetmetal. Everything mechanical is perfect, so it still needs its weekly exercise.
