Ford F100 vs. Chevy Corvette
My brother's truck is finally up and going after a year of work. It used to
have a near stock 351 Windsor in it. Now it has a Windsor block with
Cleveland heads and is stroked to 427 cu. in. This was the first time we
had it at the track since we got it running and it was having some traction
issues off the line all night. It was also sputtering a little so he had to
hammer it at the light, let off, and hammer it again to get it to take off
right. With those issues fixed, it'll easily run in the 7s. It already ran
an 8.14 that night.

In 1992, the local Ford club rented Quakercity Raceway and this is my first
pass of the day. Cut a perfect light(look at scoreboard) and ran 13.40 @
96 MPH on an old set of Goodyear slicks.
F100 408c Cleveland drag race 1/8 mile
This pass was leaving off of the foot brake at about 3000 rpms. Converter
flashes to 5000, so it hits pretty hard. Ran a 1.903 60', 8.029 @ 89.85.
1.5 turns preload on both sides for Caltracs, 7/7 on Rancho 9000's, 14 psi
in the 325/50r15 M/T ET Streets. Seemed to kinda initially spin and then
hook and bounce.

1969 Ford F100 351 Cleveland
This is my 93,000 original mile '69 F100 that spent 27 years abandoned in a
barn. I yanked the tired 240 six and 3 on the tree and installed a built
351C and TopLoader 4 speed. The Exhaust is all homebuilt using 2.5" stainless
steel mandrel bends, stainless X-pipe, and stainless Magnapack mufflers. I
freshened the interior, put some wider wheels, a 2" front 4" rear drop,
power steering, power brakes, swaybars, and all poly bushings. Except for
the wheels, the paint is 100% original!
