6.0 Liter Ford Powerstroke - High Pressure Oil Pump & STC Fitting Part 2

This 2006 F550 died while driving, then cranked and unable to start. In part 1 I removed the pump cover and high pressure oil pump. I then show installation of the revised STC fitting, then installation of the pump and cover. I continue by completing the reassembly, start the engine and test drive. If you just replace your top injector O-rings, you will end up with leaks at these seals again. ~~~ UPDATE at 20,000mi~~~~ Follow-up Video: http://youtu.be/_29GtiMOfGQ I have some better stronger O-Rings available still, if you don't need the nipple cups: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=10&pub=557508835 2&toolid=10001&campid=5337634278&customid=&icep_uq=&icep_sellerId=cr38er&ic ep_ex_kw=&icep_sortBy=12&icep_catId=&icep_minPrice=&icep_maxPrice=&ipn=psma in&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg See my Complete Write-Up on this problem and solution over at the FTE forum: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1238249-fuel-injector-top-o-rings-seals-t he-whole-story.html#post13085160 What happens is the O-Ring that seals the nipple cup to the oil rail fails and you get a high pressure low volume leak that travels along the nipple cup body down to the top injector seal and eats away at it. Leaks at the ball cup seal can generally not be detected with a standard shop air pressure test of the HPO system. You need to test with a Oxygen or Nitrogen bottle to get up closer to 1000PSI to actually hear/find leaks at the ball cups. Don't make the mistake of just replacing the top injector O-Ring and not addressing the real problem above it!
