Canadian Import Nationals - Subcompact Domestic Class 1998 Bracket racing against a Cavalier Z24. In Bracket racing you are trying to get as close to your dial-in as possible and not necessarily against the other driver. If you are closer to your dial-in (without going under) then you eliminate the other driver. That is why the Cavalier gets to leave the line first because his dial-in was higher. They stagger the lights to the difference between the 2 cars so in theory, both cars should reach the end of the 1/4 mile at the exact same time.
