1969 Torino GT Fastback 1st time at dragstrip
This is my freind's car. He's been working on it for 9 years, I rode in it a lot during high school as it was being built. This is the first time he ever took it to the track. It is a 1969 Ford Torino GT Fastback. It has a Windsor based 408ci V8, Eagle balanced all forged rotating assembly, AFR185 heads, Comp XE282HR cam, Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, Single 750VS Demon, Headman 1-5/8 headers with 3" dual Exhaust. Transmission is a Tremec TKO 500, rearend is a ford 9" with 3.89's and a detroit true-track. This run was the first ever at 12.70@113. It went on to 12.40@110. The traction was better at the track than on the street so the times would get better with harder launches.
