And when a car has been around a long time and it still continues to sell well most automakers are loathed to change it very much. And this is certainly the case with the new 2014 Forester which has grown slightly bigger but still carries on both inside and outside the design and engineering of the current model. In this TFLcar First Drive Review we see just how fast the XT turbo is 0-60 MPH. Thanks to Subaru and Sean Maynard for providing some of the video footage for this review.

All-new for 2014 the Forester may look like it has grown in size, but it is basically the same footprint as it was in 2013. However, the looks have greatly improved and the carrying capacity as well. Der Forester ist der Bestseller von Subaru in Deutschland und hat im vergangenen mit über 5000 Kunden ein neues Verkaufshoch erreicht. Dennoch steht in diesem Frühjahr mit der vierten Modellgeneration der Wachwechsel an. Herausgekommen ist ein in der Größe leicht gewachsenes Fahrzeug, das vom Grunddesign her noch ein wenig an den Vorgänger erinnert, aber bei leicht gewachsenen Außenmaßen innen spürbar mehr Platz bietet. Außerdem wurden die Geländewagen-Gene deutlich weiterentwickelt. Und Subaru verschließt sich auch dem gestiegenen PS-Hunger nicht. Mit dem Topmodell 2.0 XT kommt eine Variante mit einer Literleistung von 88 kW / 120 PS ins Programm.
